Nicola Sturgeon "not invited" to Alex Salmond's funeral. Quelle surprise...NOT.
I said it would be a private family Funeral so they should keep people like her out .
Wonder who has been invited from the SNP party past & present .

I do remember when Alex Salmond was under investigation he crowd funded for his legal fees which I thought was a bit much. One of my Facebook friends who has hardly a penny to her name but is a die hard SNP supporter donated money which I thought was unbelievable.

Given the former SNP FM's husband has been arrested and charged with embezzlement of funds, the idea the SNP offer utopian leadership is also deluded

The SNP would be redundant in an independent Scotland, Even with the charges against Murrell, the SNP are a million times less crooked than London’s blue and red Tories and your beloved royals.

I'm a bit fed up explaining this but I'll do it again

I think I'm like a lot of folk - I vote SNP in the (currently forlorn) hope that we'll gain independence.

When we get independence, I suspect I won't be alone in looking for another party to vote for.

Some of us get the feeling that the SNP realise this and that's why they're dragging their on trying to secure a 2nd referendum.

I'm not a fan of Wee Krankie (you're not allowed to call her that unless you're scottish)

I think her contrasting attitudes to the deaths of Alex Salmond and Janey Godley have really shown what a crackpot she is.

Salmond mentored her for the leadership role she enjoyed for many years. But her statement regarding his death was lukewarm at best.

However, for Godley she has issued a gushing tribute. For someone who was just as problematic as AS. The tweets that surfaced and saw her chucked off the covid adverts showed an ugly side to Godley. But she apologised so we have to move on.

Nicola Sturgeon enjoyed unprecedented popularity in Scotland. She could and should have used that platform to further the independence cause. Instead her and her government championed unpopular legislation like the Named Person Act and Self ID.

So I'm not blind to the shortcomings of the SNP. They're a means to an end.

And now back to Chuck, Big Willy, Ginge and cringe.

Nope, the SNP would be running Scotland and a dominant monopoly likely leading to plenty of corruption as it now turns out dogged Fianna Fail when they dominated the Irish government for decades post independence. Given all the issues with Swinney's predecessors, Salmond's personal life, even if not criminal he was certainly a self confessed ladies man, the Sturgeons dodgy finances and financial embezzlement allegations reaching the top of the SNP, Yousaf's resignation etc the only clean safe hands in the SNP may be Forbes. Kate Forbes is of course more Thatcherite than most UK politicians now

Yet it’s still all small fry compared to the Blue and Red Tories and your beloved royal and millions like you bow and scrape to them. FYI I don’t vote SNP

Thought it was very positive.

More funding for the NHS, the Arts, ferries, getting rid of the disgusting 2 child cap, progressive taxes. What's not to like.
Yeah, a few positives. Though given their previous 14-ish years of mismanaging their budget and the services they're responsible for I'm not entirely confident in the SNP's ability to follow through with the promises made.

The NHS funding will only cover the pay rises, won't improve the service at all.
Why didn't they cancel the cap years ago if it was that disgusting? Oh because it's just an election bribe now they need the votes.
