I would agree with that. Definitely not a fan but politics needs opposition and he was definitely an opposition.

Yeah, he had a weekly programme on RT, which was a very pro-Putin tv channel, it got banned from broadcasting on UK tv platforms after the Ukraine invasion.
Salmond never quite went full George Galloway though, who had shows on Sputnik & PressTV Iran.

Plus Alex Salmond didn't just call the referendum cos he faniced it. The only reason the referendum was called was because the SNP won a massive majority in the Scottish Parliament.
