By election is happening next week, any tattlers got any opinion on how it will go? This is my constituency and we've certainly been hit hard with the canvassing. Usually we never get anyone at the door for elections, but I had John Swinney the other week and a friend of mine had Fiona Hyslop. The Labour candidate was going round my street last week but I missed him as I was going out.

I think it'll be a close run thing. Labour have been lovebombing the constituency. But it will definitely be interesting to see which way it goes. If the SNP lose, it'll look bad for Humza.

Did J Swindle say where the missing bucks went to ?
 
It's an interesting race as it was traditionally a very Labour ward partly run by one particular family. At least two councillors had the same surname so yeah 🙄

Anecdotally I know of several young families that have moved into the area, with quite centre-left politics, after being priced out of Glasgow/East Renfrewshire. It will be interesting to see if that has any impact on the vote. I don't know any of my peers that vote Labour or Tory (context: late 30s with young family). The turnout stats will be interesting too. Pardon my ignorance but will this election require voter ID due to being a Westminster seat? I could see that causing issues at the polling station.

Yes voter ID is required at this election.

Im always so intrigued at how close we really are. If its the same family Im thinking of I know them quite well.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has also wondered this.

ETA: I just realised you might referring to the "political dynasty" and not those that have been priced out of the housing market. Kids have absolutely frazzled my brain this weekend 🤦‍♀️
