Is there a chance she might need to start mixing thickener with her breast milk? Is that a common solution for reflux? I don’t have any experience with it personally… I’ve just heard of people needing to do it.

Imagine how she’ll feel towards H if she has to do something like that 😬 the world’s best breast feeder not being able to breast feed?!

She's going the doctors to be referred to reflux specialist.. umm there's no such thing with my 3rd baby we got admitted to paediatric unit at the hospital because she wasn't putting on any weight she was projecting vomiting not just spitting up it was nothing like i ever seen before not with my other 2, and we got feeding plan to her her gain weight, but literally spent 2 days there and got absolutely no answers for her reflux, she only stopped vomiting at 1yo old when i took her off beastmilk and formula.. it seems they didn't agree with her,
now she has cows milk and it's fine no vomiting, sometimes babies digestive system are super underdeveloped and it takes time for everything to start working as it should.. but this just what some babies are like i hope she just slows down and stops obsessing over everything and enjoys it.

Can she not just trial bottle feeding to see if that helps? Or is she the type to judge people who bottle feed, so wouldn’t do it herself?
No she 100% did with her other two. I think formula was spotted in the background of stories/ photos. but she tries to hide it to keep up the narrative that she is a breastfeeding anomaly with raspberry nips of steel.

it is but then they can get quite constipated and often the vomiting and screaming which peak at about 2 months is easier to cope with than constipation
a lot of reflux kids will just spew for 12 months and may have some sleep issues but generally they aren't too bothered by it
once they hit 1 it kind of just goes, though older kids who were reflux babies do sometimes report still having reflux at night
Though there are a few different reasons for reflux
spewy babies do tend to gain weight and grow normally, though your washing machine gets a real work out

I had a colicky baby and she would spew a fair bit but nothing extreme. But the crying. Holy moly it was bad. But it disappeared between 4-6months. It’s all normal but tit it’s rough. Sarah can accept this as normal and must ALWAYS find a problem with everything because god forbid nothing is picture perfect

Sarah likes to control everything, and you cannot control newborns. They cry and fuss a lot, they don’t sleep, they can be refluxy/colicky, etc. A lot of these behaviours reduce as they get older and she would know that having had two babies already. I’m not saying it’s not hard, I struggled a lot with the newborn stage with both my kids (although many people find it the easiest!), but I think the reason Sarah isn’t coping is because her baby isn’t one of those snoozy, quiet little newborns, which would allow her to do everything she wants to do. She would feel a lot better if she just tried her best to go with the flow rather than fix her baby. Obviously if he doesn’t put on enough weight from the reflux, something will need to be done, but she might just have to accept she doesn’t have an ‘easy’ newborn.

Newborns are not machines, they are unpredictable and are brand new. Things happen.

I'm a mother of 1 child and remember that time being hard, and my husband and I were a great team. We out numbered him.

2 kids and 2 parents are then on even footings.

I would imagine having 3 kids, the kids now out numbering the parents would make things so much harder.

Once again Sarah and her doner have had a baby with such short term intentions/thoughts. Things are going to be tough for a long time sis.

Is everyone in the loop with all the specification coming out about The Harris Family? (there’s a post on OutSpoken or you could also check Red** -but basically the current accusations are a Munchausen by proxy situation with an Aussie influencer mum).

So to be fair, I feel like I’m feeling extra sensitive because of that situation, but reading this after hearing about that just makes me even more off her (not saying she’s done the same thing, but just this concept of influencers using their children’s sicknesses or whatever for content is so sickening 🤢)

Its a mess and now its come out that Brock is missing and his brother is asking everyone to keep there eyes open. Police are involved also.

I’ve always felt off about her, I’ve never followed her but her videos would pop up every now and then and she just gave me really bad vibes. I stopped even watching those when her youngest was in hospital because it was very upsetting.
Absolutely horrific if what is being said is true. She is so lucky to have such sweet children and to do anything to harm them for attention is unfathomable.

I don’t have Kids, so I do know nothing about them, but I have a genuine question: when having reflux as an adult you are advised to eat more often and eat small potions. Wouldnt the same advise work for breastfeeding? Or is it not possible to control how much bub eats?
yeah you can’t really do small frequent feeds every day because you would never get anything done and babies need to feed til they are satiated p
It’s recommended 30 minutes upright after feeds, safe elevated sleeping, thickened feeds if needed (can cause constipation) avoid meds if possible but their are some if needed
The spewing is fine because at least it comes out
Silent reflux where it just goes up and down and up and down and the crying and screaming and pain is hard to deal with. Especially in the first few months as it peaks.

Wow, I felt sorry for her that this is her post partum experience… for 1 minute. Then remembered sis has all the money in the world to throw at this. Get a night nanny. Get a mother’s helper. Get a nanny for during the day as another set of hands. Get some sleep and get yourself in a better mood. Gee wizz.

You are correct, doctors do advise this for reflux babies but i found with breastfeeding you can't really control the flow of your milk and you don't really know how much they're taking in, since she hardly had the other 2 kids should could make time to pump and give a bottle and pace him and try do it slowly and see if helps, but you know she's got raspberry steal nipples and whatever she knows everything but no nothing 🙃
