Sarah This Mama Life #34 Greetin Faced Ungrateful Cowbag

Approximately 10 hours of driving on so little sleep with a baby and the two older children.
I really hope she stops somewhere for the night after a few hours of driving north. Somewhere north of Birmingham would be a reasonable place to stop. Especially as traffic of undoubtedly going to be heavy this evening.
Or get up super early tomorrow morning. She is daft.
My parents would be frantic with worry not to mention deployed husband.
Also, could she not have boxed up the presents (already wrapped) and sent via a courier to her parents?
A bit more admin on her part but I’d totally take that effort in order to be a bit more further forward.

If she’s driving then she doesn’t HAVE to go today, surely?! She could get some sleep and then set off at the weekend.
But she must be at “home” asap, in her manic mind, she must leave as soon as the school bell rings. (so she can leave the kids with Grunny and bugger off out with her 1001 besties)

Well who knew. Pigs can fly.

Glad she’s stopped off at a hotel to break up the journey but still think she’d have been better leaving earlier yesterday evening or setting out early this morning. I think a baby could be difficult to settle in an unfamiliar hotel room after probably sleeping for a few hours in the car to get there?
No doibt we’ll hear about how little sleep they all had later at a service station update

I think her frantic energy will have them all on edge and keep them awake and if Content isn’t sleeping well, the chances of him settling in a strange room aren’t great.

She’s posted that about stopping off at R’s family but it’ll be the stopping off of old where they all use the toilet then head off again! So little sleep in the hotel, pit stop and away as soon as possible (because they’re not HER family so they don’t count)

If I recall right doesn’t Rob’s dad live somewhere near Matlock in Derbyshire? They could have a great weekend there, visiting the Christmas market and/or somewhere like Chatsworth House or one of the other big houses in the area. They are all beautiful at this time of year and Matlock itself is lovely with loads to do for kids. They could have a really lovely festive weekend then head up to the Motherland on Monday and still have the majority of the holidays with Sarah’s family. But no, it will be a flying visit then away to Aberdeen to dump the kids with grannie so Sarah can be off out catching up with friends and posting hilariously funny stories about her uber dull life as a teenager there. Hahaha.

Isn't there a yellow weather warning for Scotland at the moment? Shell be better of staying with Rob's family and going up when the weather warning is over.
