@Jelly Bean is right of course that it should be declared as an #ad if she was given the ZIIP in the hope that she'd promote it (which she almost certainly was) but I'm not really surprised that she's getting a lot of questions about it.

Until very recently she's largely neglected the whole topic of at-home beauty devices. As often, she seems to be rather late to the party. It's been a growing area of the beauty industry for 10 years and some of us who post on the beauty devices thread consider that we get significantly better results from devices than expensive crems.

So if followers are looking primirily to her for beauty information and advice it's likely to be new to them or not something they'd previously considered. Plus it's expensive so something you'd want to learn as much as possible about before buying.

Bit surprised though that of the many questions she received (didn't she say she'd received over a hundred?) she's answered eight on the same topic on Instagram.

And that grwm 😂 Lards on layer after layer of makeup before an oh so casual 'can't be arsed with eyeliner'. Ooh you rebel Sali.
She's a right busy bee on her holidays isn't she? Dan too busy monument bothering? Maybe we'll even get a substack after a month.

I thought she earned a living by being a 'journalist, broadcaster, author, event host...'? Doesn't ever mention earning a wage as a social media influencer.

(Also, given that a lot of the stuff she features has been sent to her free in the hope that she'll promote it, the content is not exactly 'ad free' is it? And, presumably the 'ad free' content is to maintain/build the social media engagement that allows her to get paid work?)

They HAVE to do ads to do the free stuff. It's like they are running a charity....a public service.....saving lives with Ziip advice and retinol insights....They can hardly make ends meet...😢😢😢😢

I'm wondering if there was a reason that influencers weren't mentioning these devices - was it just that the manufacturers refused to gift/pay/treat influencers, and so the influencers ignored them, or was it that the price tag attached to these devices means that followers would only really be interested if the influencers unequivocally said 'it works'? And maybe if they agreed the devices work, it would undermine flogging crems and serums, for which they only need to say it has a lovely texture, feels lovely on your skin, very moisturising, that they like the product etc.

Which makes me think we're all really following the greatest sleight of hand, because these influencers don't even say that the products they use work. We fill that conclusion in.

Omg the 'teachers of children amongst them' thing 😂 (for newish posters when Sali did her Freaky Friday video she revealed she had done some digging into the makeup of foul Tattlers and some of us were teachers of children. Which for some reason made our crimes worse).
Btw I must thank @Mselvista for the Dan coins find. Brilliant. I keep thinking of him bumbling around humming to himself whilst inserting 10p into various ancient monuments with sandals and pulled up socks.
All the while Sali aggressively doing her Q & As on the beach.
