Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively

To add, Justin officiated Gina’s wedding years ago. It’s clear the cast of Jane The V. had no issues with him.

Meanwhile, Blake was taking pictures with Harvey W. at multiple Hollywood parties. She apparently remained silent when people were speaking against him.

Justin has the film rights so couldn't be ousted

His production company has the rights, not him. There’s ways to oust him if there’s such harassment on set such as not having him being actively involved in production. The rights and him being involved in filming don’t necessarily go hand in hand. No one is talking about ceasing his right here.

I don't know anything about this....i watched the first half hour of the movie but put it off cos it was rubbish....but could it be possible he was showing her things for research purposes in the film? I don't know how far fetched that could be but could be an explanation 🤷‍♀️

Loving the mental gymnastics here. He was showing her nudes he'd received for research purposes. :ROFLMAO:

Interesting point. I could be wrong, but I’m sure I read that she declined an intimacy coordinator, so your point makes sense.

It's not mental Gymnastics at all. I literally said I don't know much about it and it Could be an explanation.
I don't know....with him being the director maybe it could have been possible but I suppose only him and Blake know what's really happened

Right. There definitely has to be some context to this. Why would he feel that comfortable doing that just out of the blue? One point to consider, maybe he and Blake were becoming “Friendly”. Not to justify any actions but she does have a history of being involved with her co-stars.

I’m thinking there is more to the story and his words and actions are taken out of context in isolation to support these allegations.

Justin hasn’t given his side of the story to counter these allegations, so more to come for sure.

I’m reading through the lawsuit and the behaviour on set was appalling. It wasn’t just one or two isolated incidents; it was numerous examples of inappropriate behaviour time and time again.

I’ll admit that I fell for the smear campaign over the summer. Has Blake Lively done problematic things like getting married on a plantation? Absolutely. But she was torn apart and now it turns out that she was following a marketing plan that Justin Baldoni only deviated from to save his own skin while his PR team spent a fortune creating and boosting online content that painted her as the villain.

His text messages talking about needing his team to find “the most emotional content from survivors” so he can repost it because “the next 36 hours are crucial” shows exactly how much he actually cared about DV survivors. He was just trying to cover up his own behaviour.

this sounds like some over the top superhero movie line lmao

anyway, I'm reading throught it and it's surprising how little details are covered in the press. If any of this is remotely true he is awful. Take a look: the sexual harassment stuff starts at page 13

I think this point in particular gives it credibility

However I think the lawsuits point about how Blake just followed the marketing plan feels a bit weak: sure, he may have done the more reasonable marketing for the movie for selfish reasons, but her approach was mindblowing and self-serving. And the filing has a bigger focus on her supposed losses of her beauty business than the other stuff which is ironic.

I was at the beginning of this story open to both being bad, albeit only I was certain of her (and just in a meany girl way, not strictly anything illegal). I still think that of both, but he comes now across much worse and circumstantial evidence is not pretty. really interested if he counter sues/replies, normally he doesnt have the resources to fight against them

also that PR crisis people sound...daft? why would you leave these traces behind if you are so good at your job lmao

They clearly hated each other right from the start.

Both were no doubt plotting a strategy to deal with the other - Hollywood is cut throat and you don't get there by accident.

Blake and Ryan were probably far safer with what they planned and didn't leave a trail. Justin didn't expect this lawsuit so wasn't as careful, so we're seeing some of this stuff in the subpoenaed docs.

She was the one that got all the negative press - largely due not because of any smear plan but because her behaviour came back to bite. And she's pissed about it.

I’m sorry but I don’t believe Blake lively and anything she does 🤷‍♀️ she knows what she’s doing being Taylor swifts best friend (as a massive Taylor Swift fan myself!). I don’t think she appreciated the PR she got from her own behaviour during the press for the film. And she’s now twisting it on him because he actually kept quiet.

I liked this comment in the NYT, hadn't heard the woody Allen quote before o_O

Blake Lively said that working with Woody Allen was “empowering to women”. Her and Ryan got married on a plantation. Being a Black American, and the child to a mother who went through childhood SA, those two things are unforgivably tone deaf at best, and speaks to her poor character. These text messages don’t reveal much concerning the extent of Justin’s direct involvement. It also fails to address Blake’s actions through all of this. Having her own cut of the movie that included her husband rewriting some scenes, and adding a Taylor Swift song speaks more to Blake’s desire for control rather than Justin’s alleged abuse. This entire article can be looked at as something that contributes to Blake’s own smear campaign against Justin. If we’re talking about articles creating a false narrative, this one is tragically ironic.

This!!! Honestly I’ve had to unfollow someone on TikTok that I posted about Taylor Swift mostly. And all the comments are just jumping on the bandwagon without looking at it from a subjective POV.

I don't see the issue with wanting to work with Woody Allen, who has never been charged with any crime let alone been found guilty of one.

Morally, it would be wrong for me. He married (I think) as he married his step daughter that he kmew from when she was 14 (I think off the top do head)

Huh? Are you saying he made AI videos of Blake speaking and that she wasn't the one giving those interviews that made herself look bad?

Plus she was hardly "torn apart" -- she suffered ZERO repercussions for the plantation wedding and thereafter wrote on her crappy blog she was "longing for Antebellum times". She got criticism but nothing near enough to harm her career. Plus she joined in the bullying of Kate earlier this year.

She's an awful person, bog standard mean girl who sets out to destroy anyone who doesn't bow to her. She's got away with it for years, and if it's taken a smear campaign to expose her then it's just the chickens coming home to roost. I eagerly await her and her unfunny jackass husband's downfall.
