She them in stories, so they must know
And she tags them too sometimes.
The thing with surrogacy, this lady from the sounds has never had a baby before and she has now had a c section. Normally they say 3 max, but case dependent, theoretically one c section and they could tell her there and then to never have more children, she’s more likely to need c sections in the future and she may be able to have like 7 but it’s unlikely due to scarring. I’m assuming people do it because they need the money financially, and it’s horrific infertility but at the same time you are paying someone to put their life at risk and their ability to have future children for themselves!
It's their choice, who knows what their motivation is, but everything in life has risks.

I know of them and that their response to concerns raised by many has been that they’ll address it in a timely and sensitive manner.

Sounds like bs platitudes to me. The most timely manner was quite some time ago. I mean, the longer this goes on the more damage is being done, right? I can't see their motivation for waiting if they actually plan on doing something, which I doubt.

I can't see why Sarah keeps on posting her mini meals. Is she trying to pull the wool over her coaches' eyes? Does she think if she says something enough times it makes it true, or is she genuinely deluded and thinks everyone drawing attention to her meagre portions and lack of protein is wrong? It genuinely baffles me.

No I don’t think she’s super fit at all. Her mileage is pretty low. If she spent as much time exercising as she does talking about it online then she would be fit!

I’m not blowing smoke up her arse- but I’m sorry, anyone who can crank out a sub 4 marathon with a pretty tame training plan is super fit compared to the average person

Another PB for Sarah Hunter today at the Abbey Dash 36.13, although i guess its positive her extreme efforts produce results, it means she is less likely to seek help and support she so desperately needs. Her body must be wrecked.
I feel sorry for her, i know we dont see much of her personality on her posts but she is mid 30s her entire life seems to resolve around running and been as restrictive as possible. I remember when she justified it by saying she is a small person, she has size 3 feet etc, but even next to her relatives she looks tiny and she had posted pictures before she started running where she looked considerably healthier. Hopefully she doesnt have many young athletes following her because the message she is portraying is damaging.

I knew she was sandbagging when she made a bunch of excuses for running this race so close to London (it's a special event for me it was my first 10km blah blah blah) and claimed she had no business running a fast time.

Well she's right. She has no business running at all. She should be a hobbling mess of injuries. And yet I get the feeling we'll still be saying this for months, if not years on end. Her body should be wrecked. Yet all she does is get faster. At this point someone needs to study her because she's the biggest genetic anomaly on the planet.

So the other day husband was talking about a girl he went to school with who had popped up on his Facebook, and how she looked really ill on some running photos she had added on. In his words they used to be "normal sized, like a 10/12". He showed me the pictures, and sure enough, it was Sarah Hunter. He then showed me pictures she had added from when she was younger and its actually quite frightening the difference between them, so much so you wouldn't even say its the same person

It's always difficult for the people close to someone with an eating disorder, but I just hope someone is able to get her some help to deal with her issues surrounding limiting food and excessively exercising. Her constantly posting pictures of minute portions of what can sometimes be seen as "unhealthy" foods (like three small slices of pizza or some flatbread and oil) in an attempt to show that she eats "normally" is fooling none of us

because I'm super nosy, was it a private school by any chance, i get the idea she is massively spoilt by her parents!

SHE’S MID THIRTIES?!

In addition to the minuscule meals, Sarah also body checks - those stories where she happens to film her thighs as she walks/runs before raising the camera to match whatever caption she’s given. I personally believe she knows exactly what she is doing. And I am personally really disappointed with her coaches, especially given they are under Charlotte Purdue’s brand, and she has been so vocal about body shape and weight issues with endurance runners. If Sarah’s mid 30s (wtaf?!) she’s got a few years left before serious damage will finally break her. I don’t want this to happen but the longer she is coached and PBs, the more damage she will do.

It keeps being mentioned that her coaches aren't doing anything to stop this, have I missed something? What exactly can they do and how do we know that they haven't tried to help? It's an entirely private matter and we've no idea what conversations or help they have offered regarding her weight issue.

It's very likely that people have tried to help. If it was that easy then these disorders wouldn't be so common. She will reject help and that's why it can be so dangerous

They have said they will address it with Sarah in a timely and sensitive manner. Of course she may not be open to that, and yes, they can’t force her to do anything, but professionally and ethically I would say that continuing to coach her, knowing how much “cross training” she does in addition to running, is an unhelpful and unwise move.

Edit to add: if someone had a gambling addiction, you wouldn’t coach them to win more. I’m sure there’s a better analogy but it’s late and I’m tired!

If someone is actively in the throes of a severe eating disorder it is entirely unethical to coach them and they should drop her as a client. End of story.

I'm not sure what else I'd expect them to say. They can't come out and say that she has a disorder, it's a private matter so they would treat it as such. Equally if they are helping or trying to at least, then you wouldn't expect them to drop her as a customer either. Otherwise they'll be accused of discarding her rather than trying to help.

None of us know the full picture of what is a very sensitive topic, so I don't think we should assume anything.
