Well people are invited to "walk, jog or run" so you can't blame people for doing it. I think the tailwalkers at my local are encouraged to try and finish in under 50 mins, and usually do. I usually barcode scan and have no problem waiting for the last person. My friend was the tail walker once though and was made to go back to the start for a "regular" who was late because she'd needed the toilet if you're a regular, you should know it starts at 9 on the dot!I don’t mind to be polemic, but people can walk whenever they want in the park, why do it at parkrun? To have a time?
not shaming, just literally don’t see the point

Normally our parkrun is very good, must have just been a weird day. My friend certainly wasn't very impressedI’d have told them that I’m continuing and the regular needs to catch me up. And if they kicked up a fuss, report the parkrun to HQ for encouraging runners to join in without the pre run briefing
There was two women the other day who did park ‘run’ with a coffee, strolling along having a chat. I felt for the volunteers as it was also -5!There’s a semi regular person at our local who takes nearly an hour and 3/4s to finish when they come. It’s not even a hilly or difficult course!
Annatheapple does an 11mile run less than a week after her marathon thought she was scaling back this week. Obviously ate too much yesterday in Winch
or a Christmas buggy run, because calories burned. And familySo much for a gentle return to training. Could her issues be any more blatant at this point? It's a competition between her and Hungry Runner Girl for who can eat the most sweets and then desperately run to burn them off. At least HRG bothers to do targeted workouts in her training.
So if we have an 11 mile run rounding out Anna's week, it was strength training yesterday. I love those posts of hers about strength. Always the same, pretty much word for word. Blah blah blah she doesn't look forward to them like running (because they burn less calories), gets them done anyway, acts as if they're the reason she's magically injury free. Yes, I don't think mucking around with a kettlebell and 4kg dumbbells is the panacea to all running woes. It's just sheer dumb luck.
I'll be surprised if she does any less than 10k tomorrow. Possibly more if there's a Christmas Parkrun so she can sandwich it in the middle.
Sarah just can’t help but emphasise she’s soooo tiny. See recent post about how big her trophy is compared to her. She’s really proud of it…
Also we need a new thread! Any ideas?
