The fact they get them for free as part of their sponsorship deals probably helps too.
This! 👆🏻👆🏻 I just heard an elite athlete talk about this on a podcast today. They said that if they’re feeling lazy, they’ll pop on a carbon plated shoe to make their run easier whilst keeping it fast.

Now we all know that gonoble pro treadmills we’re dished out to some questionable morons (ianrunsldn/fitcetra, alexm, PMG/danny) but I’ve just seen the worst pile of shit they have ever done! They have put out a video of brand ambassador wanky bester talking about how he uses the treadmill! Now every time I’ve seen his vlogs the treadmill behind him has been like a cross between a clothes horse and shelf! He’s also done IG stories showing products off that have been rested on the tread and it’s been caked in dust which shows it’s clear lack of use.

So to do a post about how he constantly uses it and uses it for intervals is bullshit! He does everything on strava and as this has a strava integration I can’t see any runs he’s done on it that have gone to his strava. Yet again more lies and another brand putting out false content once again, really pathetic!

Yeah I mean tbh as someone who is more than Yeah but carbon plate shoes have a proven benefit don't they? And you can even get the Nike ones now in sales and offers for cheaper than a single month of these charlatans coaching...

The studies suggest they work (meaning you go faster, and recover faster too) if your technique is good. I see lots of people going heal strike and making lots of noise with those fancy shoes. I also know someone that only have and run in alphas.

Bester s*it also works, it's a structure training and some people will respond well (genetics, etc. Anya is an example of this). If you want to waste that amount of money with clubs everywhere, that money is not that much for your (I think)

I think a lot of coaches appear to do well as people who have no idea how to structure their training come to them and are shocked that 2 sessions a week, a bit of strength training, a rest day and a couple of easy runs ans they improve… but 20 seconds on the RW website tells you that! You don’t need to pay hundreds of pounds a month!

I’m going to start a “Sarah’s tiny portion watch” a bowl of veg and like… a quarter of a flatbread…
I say this as someone’s who’s BMI is in the teens, and occupies a smaller body, she needs more fucking food. I’m amazed she’s still going

Does this mean you are going to mimic what she is eating?
I think I would die very quickly if I ate like she did and exercised that much. I’m blaming my 5.5month old for being constantly hungry as I am breastfeeding too! But honestly, it’s really not a good message and as a nutritional isn’t you would expect better!
I don’t understand the difference between nutrtionalist - is this kind of a made up suit thing as I’m only aware of dietitians who work with us in the NHS and credit to runnerbeans she is healthy!

Sarah did a masters in nutrition, which would of probably been accredited course by association of nutrition, but nutritionists in UK are poorly regulated and somebody who does a £10 course from Groupon is probably out there calling themselves a nutritionist too.
Dieticians need to study a undergrad or postgrad in dietetics which involves various placements. Then they register with British Dietetic Association, much more regulated.

This is what I thought, but I didn’t want to offend nutritionists!
Dietitians I know are degree educated etc! I still think you would expect more for someone who has apparently done a masters in nutrition!

just saw morningcoffeeruns videos and looks like he had to change out of his race shoes?! Had he notdone some training runs in them!

Eat the whole flatbread Sarah! Also her avocado on toast, one small piece of bread, it's sad. She could fuel her body more and still get results, her PBs are similar to some of the faster female runners at my local clubs and none of them are as tiny as she is. They're all lean but they're not thin in the way she is where her head doesn't look the right size for her body and she looks drawn :(

Her coaches are aware but not yet addressing it.

Someone asked if he'd done any training runs in them and he said he had but not enough.
I can't talk, I did a night time 15 mile race and bought new trail shoes for it as mine weren't good in the mud, ran 5k round the woods the week before and thought, these will do! And they did, had no issues. Lucky mistake 😂

I stumbled across an earlier iteration of this thread when googling how Ben Parkes had done at UTMB (my guess was right) but have since been consumed by the welshtits thread instead. Compulsive reading!

Caught up on a couple of these threads but I'm struggling as often people are referred to by names rather than actual Instagram usernames. Worked some out but not others.

Is there a handy list of the main accounts commented on anywhere so I don't have to try and find the right account?

Besides the Welsh duo my main scorn is Ben is running and his lack of being able to eat, drink, film or wear anything without it being sponsored by the world and its wife.
