Anna really does seem to have issues and they seem to be getting worse as she tries more bizarre explanations to justify her behaviour. It was a few weeks ago now she said something like she hopes her son loves running as much as she does, if its not running another similar sport, like let the kid have his own interests, not everyone has to love sport, maybe have aims for him to be healthy and happy instead!

Re Kellogs, I don't understand what that fast (for her) Zwift 5k was all about. Surely completely the wrong thing to do in the run up to a marathon? I've never run one, let alone aimed for a good time. But my brother in law is doing Valencia and aiming for a PB and a good time (for someone mid 50s!). His runs have never been shorter than 8 miles recently. Some at pace, some intervals and some just long and steady. But nothing short. Her "plan" seems to be all over the shop and based on what will get the most engagement or is gifted. Really not a great ad for WR coaching whatsoever.
I wonder what the long term plan is for all this running instagrammers who don't have other jobs. Surely it's a short term career, the younger crew will surely be along to take their places in the next few years?!

Was it on this thread where it was mentioned about wait for them to team up with Hello Fresh and the like? Well, hello! Maybe it's tongue in cheek, but also, so grabby. She'll be offering you all codes next week, wait for it!
I just don’t get her ‘plan’ at all and WR needs to be sacked as a Coach! I’m training for a sub 4 at Manchester next April and talked through the different blocks I’ll be doing from now on. There’s a local 10km race in Feb and my Coach knows me well enough to have discouraged me from entering as he knows I’ll go balls out for a PB and a 10km PB is not the focus. Kelly’s done TWO 5km TT trials in a supposed marathon training block and that makes no sense to me at all. I’m not a Coach, but I’ve been coached for almost 5 years through marathon cycles and two full iron man distances. Kelly’s approach is not a good advert for WR at all, but then he’s not the best advert for himself .. deffo injured. And that blatant blag for Gusto?! 🤢

WR is so defensive lately. They definitely read here. His post... Look how happy (smug) we are. Look we brought Harris, we don't ditch our kids every weekend!!! Kelly has become SUCH a better runner (because of my amazing coaching).

We can all see through the utter bullshit. Amazing they are so concerned about what other people think. It's some of the worst advice and coaching ever for a marathon training and we ALL know it. I honestly hope new runners don't log onto IG for the first time, be inundated by these running wankers, and think that THIS is what the running community is about!! It's not. There are genuine people out there. These hacks are ruining social media running.

I remember last year we just gone into full lock down and Anna just had to run a marathon, on her own, a week onto lockdown when we could only do 1 hour of exercise a day due to the pandemic. It was such a bizarre post like she knew it was totally obsessive, and a bit wrong, but still had to broadcast it. Then she proceeded to run again like 2 days afterwards, instead of resting. Resting is what normally people do after running marathon 🤷‍♀️Still, food needs to be justified and calories burned, I guess 😓

I remember this! And it was so definitely wrong for all of us staying at home and following the rules, yet somehow she was exempt and celebrated it. It’s funny… how much of her obsession is driven by the need to share it on social media?because she could have just done it (while breaking the rules) and kept quiet…

Anyone on here done Boston? Is it as great as everyone says? I just don’t understand the hype. I think if I were to do a big international it would be NYC but the costs involved are so huge, I cannot justify it. My friend has done Chicago and loved it but again ££££.

I have. The atmosphere around the town is amazing before and after - becuase it's actually a really small town/city compared to any other major, you really feel like EVERYONE is there for it, that's a real buzz. The actual race, well, the course is brutal (for a road marathon) but the atmosphere is pretty non existent. I was really suprised. People go on about the "Scream tunnel" at wellesley college but it's just a bunch of girls on one side of the road with placards offering kisses (yuck) which only sleazy middle age male runners go for, natch.

I've done all the majors and it was the least atmospheric course, I'd say.

Interesting to hear the big carl stuff, I followed him and seemed he had deleted his account so had wondered what had happened. Starting waves too early is a real bugbear of mine, no-one is saying the PB of those at the front is more important, its for safety! I'm a parkrun ED and people always moan that we ask people to roughly organise themselves, our first 200m or so is really narrow and if there's a group at the front doing 11:30/12 min miles someone is going to trip at the back, the waves allow the runners to spread out naturally very quickly. We aren't a big parkrun so starting not at the front will make about at most, 6/7 seconds difference!
I had a place at a big 10k and was in one of the top waves - I'd had a bit of a rough time training and went to start in a different wave much further back which I wasn't allowed to do due to Covid (was one of a few big races that went ahead) I spent the first 4k being brushed past, on one occasion shoved, accidentally clipped by a few people, it was really bleeping miserable, I don't see why you would do it if not by mistake!?

To be fair there was literally never a rule where we could only do an hour. An MP mistakenly said it once then publicly apologised. But it was a bit weird that she decided to randomly do that while everyone else was panicking that they couldn’t go out. I considered doing a treadmill marathon at one point then realised it would literally just be to show off that I’d done it and it would be awful 😂

There was never a 1 hour a day exercise rule in any of our lock downs, it was a guideline at best. The whole curtain twitching and people moaning about rule breakers was such a drag last year. You can run for more than an hour and avoid people plenty, perhaps depending when and where you run.
I continued marathon training. Long runs were my saviour during both big lockdowns.

WTF is going on with these lashes? Mildly off topic. But why? They’re awful! 🤨

Yeah I just remember seeing the way she'd worded her post and thinking how it was strange it was, and also the fact she felt she had to do a marathon then! The lead up to it she was saying she didn't know whether each of her runs would be the last run due to the lockdown rules changing etc. So it was like she felt she had to run all those miles to get them all in, just in case she couldn't do a long run for a while as she'd feel guilty. I dunno!
Like many, running was a saviour for me too during those lockdowns. Though maybe not 26 miles a time though ha 😂

Have y’all heard of runnersknees? He is hilarious if you want a laugh, he lists himself as a top influencer from a runnersworld article years ago and his podcast is worth a listen as he puts on what sounds like a fake posh accent. I met him at Loch Ness and he was so stuck up and barely spoke. All his twitter mates said how much they all hate him, was funnnnny. I think he just wants to be one of the bigger accounts so much it’s sad
I volunteered at an ultra recently, which he was doing. He kept himself to himself (fair enough), but would've been nice if he actually acknowledged and thanked us. I didn't know he was that well-known to be honest!

wtf they’re just hanging off her face! Also that outfit isn’t ‘autumn running in the uk’ I ran in a vest and shorts today. Although maybe I’m the weird one 😂

You're not! I'm still in shorts and a t-shirt too...I see people running in leggings and huge jackets and wonder how they're not overheating!

On a separate note, anyone else tired of seeing carla_moves flogging PureSport CBD literally every single day? How much are they paying her for that?
