Never really thought about it in this way…..there are plenty of high performing/under fuelling runners who seem to “get away with it” (for now)…..however most of them don’t have children or dependents and have fairly cushty jobs, WFH etc. This removes a huge amount of stress and stain on the body - being able to sleep and do what you want not trying to juggle the needs of small children, no school run to do, no managing kids germs, etc. This probably contributes a lot to them not getting injured.
Sarah doesn’t really seem to have any other interests or social life outside running - not that she puts on insta anyway - the odd coffee or pizza after a race seems to be the extent of it - maybe that’s what you have to sacrifice to be a 2.45 marathoner !

Oh wow that F75 sounds like a total legend! I agree with you she’s probably extremely careful with not a single calorie unaccounted for - how else could she eat cinnamon buns and hot chocolates every day and look and run the way she does? I do also agree with the PP who said she trains sensibly to an extent, she obviously does LOTS of S&C, yoga and seems to have a reasonably chill job, prioritises sleep, doesn’t socialise much and has no dependents or pets. I used to be able to put my body through a lot more physical stress before I had a crazy job and an even crazier toddler
