I know someone similar to runnermancbee who was unfit and (very) overweight then went on a health drive via slimmingworld and lost a stack of weight and found running, but took it too far and went very very skinny and disordered with their eating, and used running as a means to keep their weight down. Not saying runnermancbee is doing the latter as she races for times but I'd be surprised if there isn't an element of that in there too. The person I know had to hit 30 miles a week of running and got annoyed if they couldn't. I think that and eating low calories just consumed them, so while they weren't obese anymore it certainly wasn't healthy.

A lot of people who do run for times also clock that carrying less weight makes hitting those times easier...until your body breaks due to the lack of fuelling. There's a fine line to walk between optimal racing weight and avoiding injuries, especially for women (though men do get red-s and it should be acknowledged and discussed more). It is easy to get obsessed with numbers, weekly mileage and once you're hitting times to keep beating them because you wrap your identity up in your running ability.

This is so so true.

Has anyone seen the motley crew of people who have been sent out to Lille to promote Kiprun, which I think is Decathlons own brand?

The fact they've invited Sarah's Fitness out there is quite shocking in my opinion, why are brands encouraging people with such disordered behaviour? She looks stick thing compared to some of the other girls there and barely fits in the clothes they've given her.

I see fudgie is there

Two of Kiprun's recent high level athletes Abbie Donnelly and Alice Goodall look unhealthy thin, maybe the brand wants a certain type and Sarah certainly fits the mould.

Someone said on old thread how disordered runnermancbee is, and wow! She really is. Have you also seen her stories about her diary? So so many red flags there…
Yes massively disordered... Just gone from one extreme to another. Apart from which the extreme double sessions don't seem to make much sense from a training perspective let alone being a sustainable healthy way of exercising. This coming off the back of an injury too. I just find her pretty triggering and problematic

Her mum is in a hospice so I could understand her running and exercising more to help herself cope, but she's been doing since before her mum's diagnosis. When my dad was diagnosed with cancer I ironed everything in the house, I didn't iron before, and I haven't ironed since 🤣, it was just about keeping my mind occupied.

True - I can't imagine what it must be like to be going through that. And understand fable that I guess exercise is her coping mechanism.... But like you said it was the case before that.

I think that's the case and that's why she's so active in SM, but exercise is not a good coping mechanism. I know they keep telling it is, but it's not.

This picture of Sarah is very worrying. Her right shoulder especially and arm shows how undernourished she is.

She'll keep doing it because she keeps getting PB's. You look at the top cyclists, they carry a very low bodyweight going into the big tours, but they don't look like that all year as they know unhealthy and unsustainable, Sarah looks like that all year round.

Who has gone there?

Running Dan & Fudgie (those two perverts are having a ball together I'd imagine, Sarah's Fitness, Adventures With JP...who is basically AD central right now and another interesting one is Maisie Runs...who has blatantly bought followers and likes, how do I know this? Because almost all of her posts/videos have quite low engagement, but one recent photo has almost 4k likes, it's so obvious and pretty sad that she has to resort to it to make herself look popular...I'm literally watching her follower count rise suspiciously minute after minute.

There's a couple more people out there too but never heard of them before.
