I don’t know about others but when I go on city trips I tend to skip runs or perhaps fit a Parkrun in if there happens to be an opportunity for it but I certainly don’t force it. I get enough walking in during the day without the added run. I always find it amazing that all these insta runners are out on their holidays running, doing their sessions. Maybe if you have a goal race coming up but otherwise? But if you are pregnant and away for a long weekend on a couple trip is that really necessary to fit in a run / workout first thing in the morning? I prefer a lazy morning, long breakfast before heading out to explore but maybe that’s just me.

Does anyone follow Holly Brooks? I think she seems like a really nice girl so this isn’t meant to be nasty but she’s kind of a peak example of a running newbie suddenly acting like a seasoned elite runner - I think she did 2 marathons last year and released a marathon training guide (lol) and then this year she had planned to basically do a half marathon every month in different US states but she got badly injured so not sure if that’s really going ahead or if she’s just gonna jog/walk the races she has booked. Sometimes I just wonder how people who clearly know nothing about sports and athletics can be dishing out advice and selling guides… like great if you want to have a career documenting your own journey, that’s totally valid, but don’t act like you know about running just because you’ve done two average marathons..

If I was doing a city break/sightseeing type trip I wouldn't bother running. On lazy beach type holidays I have gone out for runs in the morning but only short ones and it's mostly for some peaceful alone time ahead of noisy beach/pool days with the family.

Went to have a look and only see another rich girl XD (sorry for the hate, I'm grumpy and injured lol)

Holly Brooks seems nice but agree on the whole IR influencer newbie runner now dishing out advice. See also Train With Anna who started running two years ago, has done a couple of marathons and is now positioning herself as an expert. Not entirely sure of their coaching qualifications as can't see any listed.

She's another fitness/gym type who has started running I think (not as extreme as Lucy Davis) all in Lululemon kit, she came up on my youtube but as a grumpy middle aged parent I couldn't really relate to her :ROFLMAO:
Holly and Lucy both buying their following to make themselves look like they’re important and experts. Idiots like these need to disappear from instagram and just bore off
