Oh my goodness I just looked him up! So many enablers too on his post saying he should run through injury etc. he got given crutches by the hospital and he’s still hobbling out for 5km. So silly!

I would maybe understand if he was on day 499 of a run streak and wanted to get to 500 before taking time off to rest… but presumably he’s going to just keep running every single day despite the injury to keep the streak up? In which case it will likely never get better 🙄 also doing 5k is mad, if you’re that desperate to keep up some arbitrary streak surely just get out and hobble 1k lol. At least Savannah often just runs 1 mile to keep her run streak up, Altho surely at some point she will have to stop if she gets ill or just can’t run for a day…
 
Does anyone follow jamesmcd_runss on insta? He only has a small following but I just saw that he had a severe injury from football (so bad he physically has to hobble instead of run and went to hospital over it) but he’s been forcing himself to “hobble” 5ks in pain to keep up his run streak… that is beyond insanity. Imagine having your foot bruised and painful but forcing yourself to hobble to keep up a run streak hahaha
I’ve never heard of him but just looked and his deserves to be injured and cricked for a while if he’s this bleeping thick. What a moron, run streaks and idiots like this can get in the bin
 
Oh man anna has gone to Edinburgh for a few days. Without her kid obviously! Haven’t seen much of the sights on her page just gratuitous pics of food - I mean are we supposed to believe she actually eats all this? And now she’s dragged Kyle to a freezing cold park run. Dear me. Have a day off. I used to really enjoy following her but now she worries me how damaged she is
 
I sort of don’t mind run streaks if it’s just a bit of fun for people, but I think they can lead to obsessive behaviour, and people struggle to stop or do completely unhinged or even dangerous stuff to fit them in. You need to know when to step away and that nothing awful will happen if you do.
I also think if you have “performance” goals you need a rest day, I’m doing a pretty hard marathon block at the moment, and very much need a weekly rest day for the sake of my sanity and to be able to hit the big runs and big sessions.

The guy who coaches Laura Muir swears by a day off a week and if it’s good enough for her!

As an aside anyone see runner manc bees “fuel if required” for her 16 mile run… IF! Just because you can do 16 miles with no fuel doesn’t mean you should
 
I don’t mind ‘movement streaks’ but run streaks make me feel a bit weird. Everyone needs a rest day!
I have a friend who runs every day, I'm not sure how long her run streak is but it must be 5 years or more. But she's sensible and runs a minimum of 1 mile (most days she just runs a mile) and she incorporates it into her day, so she will run to the gym or run to work, so it's not just running for the sake of running.
 
I did one for a bit during covid over 2020-2021 did about a year and a half. It was fun to have some focus and routine but when some normality resumed it didn’t work and I wasn’t willing to get up stupidly early to cram them in on impossibly days.
… since I stopped I got lots faster
 
Runnermancbee has dropped another lockdown diaries… I find it hard to believe they’re legit. She is claiming to have gone from not being able to run 5k to running a 26 minute 5k in less than 2 weeks? Also it just reads like a made-up “transformation” story idk. I’m just a bit suss of the details. It’s prob rooted in truth but the actual daily diary aspect comes across a bit contrived ? Idk

It’s not out of the question but more than likely bullshit if you ask me! I challenged that Ben Johnson when he did a post and I’ve been blocked because he didn’t like what I said! If I remember rightly he claimed to weigh something like 18+ stone and started running in 2018 and his first 5k was 24 minutes or something stupid and then writhing 12-18 months he lost tit loads of weight and was running ridiculous low 3hr marathons. Yet he’s posted a number of times whilst buying his following and his story changed in 3 different posts and I called him out and his posts either got edited or removed and I was blocked
 
Liz Newcomer moaning again about having missed her half marathon goal yesterday. Who knew that you couldn’t PB in a 10k and a half, whilst marathon training…. Shocker.
She looked like a bellend in her sunglasses, it was bleeping grey and cloudy. Also, the fact that she chafed her armpit so badly makes me think she wore new kit that day - for someone with a running podcast and YouTube channel, I’d expect her to know that’s a bad idea.

This is the girl who blamed bad oatmeal for a bad run 🤷‍♀️ I didn’t know you could get bad oatmeal 😂

I was literally raining all morning. The weather was not pleasant. I was out on a run and hated every minute. So yeah why….
 
Lillies fitness, talk about first world problems ! Don’t have enough time to “fit in a run”, but you do have time to get your nails done 🤔 What a busy and important day you must have
