Has anyone seen Runner manc bees post about pissing herself at Valencia?
It’s not normal, especially for a young girl who hasn’t had children, and it seems she has toilet issues in general. Why is she not seeing someone about this?
Yes really not normal. Common, but not normal. And common in post-natal women (of any stage PN) but not at her age and pre pregnancy. Strength training will help if she protects / works with her core / pelvic floor in doing so but will make it worse if she doesn’t. In short she needs advice from a women’s health physio as really not good if she’s only like 20 something and pissing herself when she runs

I wondered if she meant she wet herself because she was running so fast she couldn’t hold it in maybe?! I can’t run a sub 3 so no idea what it’s like to maintain that pace for that length of time - maybe one of the speedy runners on here can enlighten me?! But yeah, I’ve had 2 kids and never wet myself in a marathon, hence wondering if it’s a speed thing!

It must be a fairly new problem, when she ran that really fast half I’m sure it was in light coloured shorts? If I’d started pissing myself uncontrollably I would be taking up full time residence in a doctors office until it was sorted/a cause was found

I have to admit I hate the incessant poo/wee chat that seems to be a thing amoungst several influencers. Imagine how off putting it must be to new runners to think “god I will definitely tit myself” and will not want to carry on.
Most people don’t nearly crap themselves every run and if you did I really really would be looking to identify a cause, just because it happens doesn’t mean it’s normal

She said it was because her pelvic floor was really weak, she didn't even feel that she needed to pee. Definitely needs to see a woman's health physio if that's happening at her age.

I thought she meant she wet herself intentionally instead of stopping, I know some faster runners do if they need to go. I think Phily Bowden said she did at her most recent marathon but if she’s that age and it’s just happening she definitely needs to see a doctor.

I do sometimes leak when I run because of a birth injury. I’ve seen a women’s health physio, I do the exercises, I strength train and work on my core and pelvic floor but it hasn’t completely stopped it, especially if I’m sprinting or going fast downhill. It’s probably a surgical fix but the doctor I saw said I was a bit young and as it was only during intense exercise and not everyday life she couldn’t recommend me for surgery.

I'm writing here to stop me posting on runnermancbees most recent post. Next chapter of her "book" out that apparently goes in to how pace doesn't matter and it's all about nutrition. I'm sorry but if you are going to run every run close to 7 minute miles and make some claim about how 3 pieces of cake fuelled 19 miles, plus doing a 16 mile run at sub 3 hour marathon pace without fuel AND go on about running to earn calories....you and your book can duck OFF!!!

She is down the biggest rabbit hole and now pushing to do an ultra all for the kudos.

I spent years of silent training to be where I am...and I never wrote a bleeping book which is a massive fabrication as it was (ps I had a baby in lock down and it was tit and I had PND and I now run quicker than ever. I don't have a book...)

Oh I just can't any more.

Might be worth having a look at contrelle activguard bladder support for exercise.

Yes I have this and another internal support that I use and they do help, thanks :) at some point when I'm feeling more ready I will go back about what the next options might be, especially as I'd probably be on the waiting list for a million years anyway if I did get recommended for a surgical fix :ROFLMAO:

Tell me this sex offender isn’t wearing his HRM to walk around and use an e-scooter? For someone who claims to be body conscious and not one to take his top off in public, he does a good job of being topless more times than he is covered up
