There is a challenge on Strava at the moment for 20% off on sungods. You only need to record 60 min of activity. It ends today but they have a similar one every summer I think.

Just come on here to see this targeted ad 🤣

Same, it's so cathartic!

Skin is more waterproof than clothing, a visor to keep the rain off your face and contacts if you wear glasses normally.

My favourite runs are when it starts off dry but then the heavens open as you're on your last few miles home. Bliss.

I don’t mind a run in the rain but I detest the runs where the rain is just that absolute MIST that soaks you fully and you come back completely soaked and trainers drenched.
How does a constant drizzle mist just get me soggier than heavy rain?!

Ben Parkes is having another crack at UTMB in six weeks. Also looking for people to help crew him and in return they can have some of his merchandise. Got a feeling those that take up the offer will be standing around for several hours for his non-arrival...

I watched his latest video. He’s like a puppy. No sense. Didn’t even bother listening to Sarah about water. And then of course she was right.
She’s a far better trail runner than him, but his male ego won’t allow it. I honestly don’t know how she puts up with it

Anyone else finding Anya Culling a lot less interesting now she’s a full time runner / influencer?? She’s now just promoting any old tit (cereal?! Cereal is crap, however it’s dressed up) to earn some money. I get that’s her income now but her content has changed almost overnight to be just selling stuff in every post. Shame as I liked her stuff before and she was more relatable when she had a proper job!

The pic of her cereal bowl made me feel a bit sick. That salted caramel sauce tit 🤢

I agree though, more relatable with a normal job and less ‘ads’. Although ironically now she’s got even more time her training seems even less structured / sensible. No doubt she will do well in Berlin though

I wonder if she’ll end up overdoing it, a bit like… well, a lot of young athletes who run a few fast times, get selected for various things, obviously feel the pressure and then overdo it and break? Becky Briggs and Anna Boniface both come to mind straight off the bat (both of whom I do actually like).
How many people (especially younger women) do you see getting a vest and then a year or two later and battling a serious stress fracture

I find Anya insufferable to be honest. The overexcited voice yelling into the camera just makes me cringe. A shame that’s the kind of athlete Lulu is sponsoring, I actually love their gear. Nothing about Anya comes across as natural. When she is dressed up with the heavy make up going out to party she looks like as if she is in her 40s rather than mid 20s. Sorry guys maybe I am getting old.

I’m with you on this! Whilst I applaud her achievements and running in the last year or so, I’m in fully agreement with the above
