Shame. I used to live near him. He retired to Devon. I’m always remember him in the pet shop boys film as a serial killer singing ‘Always on my mind’. And in lethal weapon?

Yes I remember him in both as he features in the Always On My Mind video sat in the back of the car

I remember him saying “diplomatic immunity” quite a lot in Lethal Weapon 2 in a South African accent

She had just gone into hospice care and her family knew it was coming but I don't think they expected it so soon. She had dementia IIRC which is heartbreaking as you have to watch the person you love become a shell of the person they were and there is nothing that can be done about it.

A wonderful actor - RIP Joss Ackland

He was. I love the Always On My Mind video by the Pet Shop Boys (best version of it in my opinion) as he is so creepy as the passenger.

I don't know if it was a movie or a story he was recounting but he used a phrase that I always remember him for.
Some rowdy kids were annoying him and in his beautiful voice he said with quiet menace, "stop that infernal noise."

Whenever I hear screaming kids getting a little too OTT, I see his face and hear his voice.
He didn't shout, but his words were powerful and you just know those kids imediately went quiet.

Yeah , Jimmys in there too, he’s just turned 99 they’ve both lived a long fulfilling life.

WHAT???
Bloody hell!

I saw an article about famous people who had passed away this year and seeing her picture, I assumed they had posted the wrong image but then saw the statement from her children.

"It is with heavy hearts that we inform you of the death of our incredible mother, Annabel Giles, who passed away peacefully yesterday afternoon at Martlets Hospice in Hove. In July, Mum was diagnosed with a stage 4 Glioblastoma, a fast-growing and highly aggressive malignant brain tumour."

I'm shocked that Russell Norman has died. I never ate in his restaurants but remember his show The Restaurant Man on BBC which I loved and which I wish had been recommissioned. I'd have put him at younger than 57.
