Rebeccaloves__#57 Carrie Grabshaw and the 12 days of griftmas

I think this is the politest way of saying “bullshit” I’ve ever seen 🤣

Very diplomatic calling out of BS! 😆

I had appendicitis when I was a kid, the pain and vomiting doesn’t subside, definitely not able to sleep, walk a light trail, post on phone and have a night’s sleep! I was still vomiting as I was being rolled into theatre (so long ago that it was open surgery then and in hospital almost a week 🥴) I think the pain from crumbling appendix comes and goes, but can go on for years, my Dad had that, maybe she’ll be using that for a while!

As someone else said, the first thing they assume/check for is appendicitis when you go in with stomach pains, they did with one of my kids years ago.

As for contrast scans causing cancer, my Mum has a contrast scan annually, her (very senior!) consultant has never mentioned a cancer risk to her, must be because she is 30 years older than Grabs 🙄 Dangerous fear mongering twit.

Oh ffs where do I start!!!

Firstly sorry to be pedantic Tattlers but MRI scans produce no radiation, it's CT scans that do! And if the scan IS ACTUALLY NECESSARY the benefits far outweigh risks, the amount of radiation you are exposed to in one scan is equivalent to I think 3 years of natural background radiation.

I suspect she's demanded a scan and been told it's not necessary and they fed her a line about not exposing her to unnecessary radiation due to the very small risk of cancer because FOR FUCKS SAKE BECKY YOU JUST HAVE A UTI!!!!

Her urine sample clearly showed a UTI and her bullshit about bloods not showing infection markers shows just how mental is. I get recurrent UTIs and never once have I needed to have bloods taken for it, just pee in a pot, urine is dipped and/or sent to the lab and I get the antibiotics, simple. OK it does seem like her UTI is worse than the usual cystitis but urine samples don't lie, you have cystitis mate.

Nothing is 'inconclusive' Grabby, you're just a hypochondriac gigantic bellend.

This is from the NHS website - she’s an idiot!

If they felt she urgently needed this type of scan she’d have had it.

I suspect it’s been booked for sometime in the NY and she’ll wait 2-4 weeks for the results, as standard.

Oh this makes sense because I do actually remember something when I had a CT a few years back, whereas never have for annual MRIs.
