There were so many people calling out her channel back when she was doing 8 passengers, the things she willingly posted on there were bad enough, I can't believe how bad it actually was. When the 911 call was made public and the neighbour said there was duct tape on his wrists, I assumed that was to restrain him, but even then the reality was 10x worse. I hope she gets a long sentence despite the plea deal. It couldn't be long enough.

From the Metro link above I happened upon the following case.

I'm not in any way seeking to downplay what happened to the victim, which must have been horribly distressing, however the sentence imposed seems very high (given that men often receive woefully short sentences for rape or sexual assault, even with violence involved)

What a weird shape looking woman, sorry but she looks abit deformed or out of focus, strange.

Wow, you’re not wrong

But the photo was taken from Instagram, presumably her account, so I think she’s badly photoshopped herself - badly - to look thinner, which is why her head looks so enormous compared with her body. It also looks like she has some bad plastic surgery/filler.

You aren’t the only one to think the sentence was very high compared with men who commit sex offences.

Glad that he has been released and is safe and well but the photos of him and his girlfriend are gross, dirty old man, she looks young enough to be his granddaughter 🤢 l

He's something to do with that outdoor park place in Yorkshire called Forbidden Corner....quite an apt name I feel!!

According to Hansard the average sentence for rape is 10 years (that was 2021) but usually between 4 and 19 years. Personally cannot think of a news report where rape got anything like that sentence.
They can range from 3 MONTHS to Life. Personal experience (professional and personal- family member) is closer to months than years.

It must have been horrific for the victim but sexual assault and rape, at the time when the victim is in fear, no false consent, seems far more damaging.

Plus the actual trial where it usually comes down to her word against his and the defence will be hell bent on making her look like she needs to explain all sexual history. The defence in my family members trial was utterly disgusting 🤢

It must be so difficult for people to make that decision, let alone to hear the police make it, but I understand it. Poor Keith and his family.

I am so sorry that your relative went through that, Mindy. It's never made sense to me to use that method of questioning; if you are burgled the defence does not ask "And do you go shopping a LOT? And do you BUY THINGS?"

Saw this on Facebook and I made me think of Gaynor, Nicola and the lady who went missing in Perth. So many people jump to conclusions with these cases and I feel it’s like they don’t realise how dangerous rivers etc can be. Especially in the winter time with flooding and cold weather.

I always think it’s so sad when there isn’t a conclusion for the family, I can’t imagine the not knowing. There is a man missing in Leeds, he went out for a run with his dog on his regular route earlier this week, the dog was found a couple of days later in the water but they haven’t found the man as yet. So sad.

Oh gosh and right on top of Christmas! I rather know what happened to my loved one rather than this horrible limbo that these families find themselves in.

Thank you. It was my sister and the prosecution detailed everyone she’d ever slept with. Despite her waking up to her (ex) husband raping her on multiple occasions. And then beating her, raping her and handing himself in to police (he broke his dick raping her so he knew it was over)
She had to have a full examination, 8 hours of police interviews and then her entire sexual history laid out in court.
He got 4 years, was out after just under 3.
She fled the country and is in the other hemisphere now. After a full breakdown following the trial.
You are completely right - what other crime do we blame the victim??!

I was watching a programme yesterday about the Rochdale groomers. One of the victims (referred to as Lilly in the programme) said she wouldn't report rape again because of the cross examination and having to relive everything again.
