I don’t get this case at all. It says she told her Mum she was on some sort of register since the age of 9 as she was at risk of sexual exploitation which of course could have been a lie but I’m wondering if it came out in court. She said she wanted to expose what was happening in Barrow - is this something she’s read about or experienced with friends? Using a hammer to hit your face and eye is so extreme, she’s lucky she didn’t do permanent damage. Such extreme lengths make me think she is mentally unwell, I don’t know I just find it such a strange case. The poor men who went through it.

i think theres another girl who never got justice from the same area who claims similar things however she seems to have a lot of evidence. She also has made a post about what Ellie williams has caused as now even less people will believe her etc. I wondered if she was in a weird way jealous of these other girls.

It could be! Maybe she thought she was helping or maybe it was jealously. Is it like a form of Munchausen disorder?

I don’t think she thought she was helping. You could be right something similar to munchausen. Either way there is something seriously wrong with her. I think I read she had social services involved as a child. The fact her sister testified against her speaks volumes
 
I think something has gone on with the Ellie case although clearly nothing as severe as alleged. There was a rush to dismiss Barrow as a racist backwater even when the claims first arose, and it's not without it's faults for sure. But lets just say I was aware of two of the accused by name a long time before any of this happened and not for positive reasons, so that probably fuelled a lot of momentum locally.

same - i’ve been thinking about her a lot (i think it’s a story that really catches with you, especially from reading other comments here too). i read that the “man’s” partner apparently said “you didn’t have to do that, it’s an old lady” to him on the cctv which surely immediately blows his self defence “argument” out of the water.

such an easy mistake and such an easily resolved situation if it had happened to any “normal” person. as said above, anyone else would have helped her on her way or potentially called the police if worried about her vulnerability. not this.

The pensioner murderers partner. I saw her linked in - looks like she has a good job. What did a successful, attractive woman see in that ugly, angry beast?! I do hope she’s gotten rid for her own sake.
Honestly it makes my heart heavy. The poor lady looks so happy on the pictures in the news and the description of her pulling her little suitcase on wheels with her handbag into what she thought was her room - a private space for her to relax (I know it wasn’t) it’s just devastating. She must have been absolutely terrified and mortified; plus she was half naked! WTAF 💔💔💔💔

Also, his house had ‘residents only’ signs on the wall outside from when it used to be a hotel. Such an simple mistake to think it was your B&B especially if you were abit tipsy 😞

Obviously fairly successful people to afford what looks like a large house, it said they were renovating it. He just sounds vile.

I woke up thinking of her too, my mother is a similar age and it’s just heartbreaking.
The detail that really got me was the thought of her trying to collect up all her bits and pieces in the street and get them back in her case before she collapsed.
What brute, I hope they throw the book at him.
