Zack might be a complete a~hole who knows. But I honestly think Kristi is a manipulative controlling narcissist. With the over the top love bombing, isolating, Zack obviously having to tip toe around her extreme moods and then her love bombing again afterwards. He couldnt even go to the shop without her stalking him on an app and calling it concern for his welfare.
How ironic if she did come between Zack and his mum but any girl in future has no hope of getting close to Kristi’s son without her input.
 
Watching any video with them both in is red flag central to me. She constantly talks over Zack, interrupts him, looks bored/impatient when he's speaking. She never listens to him, she's just thinking about what she's going to say next.

I remember him helping her on one of her videos where she reorganises her eleventy billion makeup products. She spoke to him like a child. I felt real pity for him, a big burly man who had previously worked in a dangerous construction job and here he was sat on the floor sorting shimmering highlighters from lip glosses. It seemed emasculating to me. He didn't look like he was enjoying it.

They've been together since they were very young, haven't they? Perhaps Zack did have a fractious relationship with his mother and narc Kristi swooped in, lovebombed him and isolated him. All speculation on my part, of course. But she definitely wears the trousers in that relationship.

Bet she likes to remind him who has paid for everything too.
 
does he work for her in some capacity or quit his job to look after their property? can’t remember specifics but if I’ve read about it it’d probably be here. if so he’s socially, financially and physically isolated, and probably feels the need to be especially active in their sons life as a voice of reason. he’s definitely partly responsible for the toxic environment they’re cultivating but I’d imagine he’s affected by living in an echo chamber of of conspiracy theories too

Yes I didnt think of that! He has no money of his own coming in so thats another area of control for her. She has said numerous times shes really stingy and a saver so she 100% would control the purse strings.
 
Zach probably isn't allowed to close the door when he goes to the bathroom. She wouldn't let him do yardwork alone. She is insane. I have no problem believing that Kristi has kept Zach and Alder from Zach's mom. Remember when she said that she has dreams every night about Zach cheating on her? She's a controlling person. She can't handle Alder loving his grandmother. Kristi probably keeps her stepmom from Alder too. She's deranged.

Yep, seems like it! It’s like Peter Monn said- she’s posting stories because nobody can comment on them where others can see and she’d then have to delete said comments.

The Times just did a whole interview with that one - Ballerina Farm. It's behind a paywall but I've seen exceprts and it's sad as hell. The woman was a talented ballerina who studied at Juilliard but was Mormon-brainwashed enough to do what she was told by her future owner, sorry, fiance, and drop out and have six children, each one nine months apart (yes, we know what that means and her husband brags about it). The husband sits in on the interview and answers for her all the time. doesn;'t want her to have any adult women around (obviously because she might find support in them). Mentions she sometimes spends a week in bed, exhausted (hey ho clinical depression), but being a pathetic baby machine and content creator stuck in isolated rural mudville playing cow-poke tradwife to hoik more bleeping money into her husband's accounts is clearly so so so fulfilling.

There's a but where he gives her a present and she hopes its tickets to a city in Europe for a romantic break, when she opens it it's a bleeping APRON. He smirks, she's crushed.

There's nothing actually 'traditional' about this ultra bollocks, this nuclear family breeding fetish, it's Mormonism, grinning misogyny and associated cretinous US fundie Christian nuttery on steroids for views and cash. Kristy is a bleeping moron for getting in with this crowd in any way.
