Gummy McOversharer 😂😂😂

Best bit of photoshopping I’ve seen in ages @Queenofthesea

Award for the most pointless exercise must go to the Poopette who is wearing a different dress every day, so far she has reached day 50 and still has more left in her wardrobe…..that’s £4500 and counting!
That’s shameful. Tempted to throw orange paint in her wardrobe in protest

Does Popsy, at £30+ for a pair of pjs count as fast fashion?

I do wear some dresses/ clothes just once - for a few reason, mostly that I have ADHD and can very literally forget I own something unless it is directly in front of my face. I also can love a dress one day and HATE with a fiery passion the next. The upside of that is that having ADHD also means that selling on etc can feel like a mountain to climb so I donate a lot of once worn items, or new with tags (that I forgot I bought) to charity shops.
All of this. Could have written this myself if I could pay attention for long enough! Sunk cost fallacy is crippling at times.

Good point, Popsy is probably too expensive for fast fashion, but from what people have said I would expect a greater longevity of the clothes...

things can be overpriced expensive and still be fast fashion. If they’re producing new dresses every week think how much they’re producing?!? It’s overconsumption, no different to primark or Shein.

Plus the fact they use this Facebook group to manipulate people into buy more, it’s surely worse? At least Shein is cheap and doesnt pretend to be anyone’s friend

All the hype they create with lives and launch times, silly hashtag games, gimmicky names.

Anyhoo, I thought it might be time for some weird animal appreciation. It’s like the dress version of bad taxidermy.

Bit in bold would have been a perfect thread title!!

Poopsy is most definitely fast fashion. its just cheaply made non lasting crap. It’s worrying when people have so many that they can wear a different one every day and have it’s last that long… I can’t see the PJ,s being much better.
They have done really well with creating a massive FOMO group just like her royal locketness

One thing I will say about Popsy is that there is a huge market for pre loved. There’s the pre loved Facebook group and there’s also a load of them on Vinted- I put a Popsy playsuit up on Vinted that I had worn once on holiday and it sold within an hour. And even the crappiest most bobbled dresses get buyers so I would say probably not necessarily fast fashion.

Some of the older dresses do last a fair old while- but the newer stuff is crap I will agree. They seem to have sacrificed quality for quantity.

I've never (and will never!) bought any Popsy, but I'm OBSESSED with this thread. You're all hilarious and I'm now heavily invested in Gummy's life 🥲

It's all so infantilising isn't it? The colours, patterns and styles and the manipulative marketing. I can't quite put my finger on it, I just know it feels weird and as I think somebody pointed out recently, seems to target people who are lonely/have other vulnerabilities.
