Period Drama Fans

Hey I've started getting in to period dramas.I loved Poldark and Bridgerton.I really loved Queen Charlotte.Ive just started watching Harlots.Im only a few episodes in.This is what Wikipedia says about it.
"Harlots is a British period drama television series created by Alison Newman and Moira Buffini and inspired by The Covent Garden Ladies by British historian Hallie Rubenhold. The series focuses on Margaret Wells, who runs a brothel in 18th-century London and struggles to secure a better future for her daughters in an unpredictable environment".

Hallie Rubenhold wrote "The Five" about the victims of Jack the Ripper. It's an excellent book and if you haven't read it I urge you to do so. It details the very sad and difficult lives of these women, the circumstances that drove them into prostitution and how very vulnerable they were. Well researched and very well written.

The bbc version of Woman in white is now on Netflix. It's too dragged out for my taste but it's well made.
