I have just finished watching Shardlake on Disney +. It is a murder mystery about a lawyer sent to investigate a murder during the tudor period. I really enjoyed it. It kept me guessing until the end. I am a little disappointed that I will now have to wait and hope for a 2nd series.

I will be watching it. I enjoyed the Queen Charlotte spin off more than the actual show though, I just think I found the situation more interesting.

I might wait until all the episodes are out before watching it as a break in the middle feels a bit silly.

Just read that they’re doing a remake of The Forsyte Saga on this time with the BBC should be good. I’ve listened to the BBC radio audiobooks of John Galsworthy’s novels and both tv adaptations. We’re in for a treat!

Olivia Cooke was great as Becky Sharpe.

She's such an interesting character - she's calculated and manipulative, but also she's a woman in a man's world playing the game with the cards dealt to her.

I think it is a story that just never gets old. We will always have social climbers and manipulators, and we all love a complex character.

I really enjoyed this version of VF, will have to watch it again at some point


I am suprised how split people seem to be on the new Bridgeton. People seem to be either loving or hating it.

Daniel Deronda is another great BBC period drama.

I know Pride and Prejudice has been mentioned but also BBCs Sense and Sensibility was great.

I loved Poldark when that was on. Loved the character of Demelza, such a strong female character. I want to read the book series now.

I loved Poldark I would love if they came back now the cast is a bit older and done the last few books when Ross and Demelza's children are a bit older.
