I’m not sure where to ask this question so sorry if in the wrong place, I started Hrt recently, I’m also in mini pill for painful ovulation and cysts , well this all stopped on the mini pill, now I’m finding the ovulation pain back since starting hrt , can it kick start ovulation so to speak?

Could be the oestrogen? Worth speaking to your Dr.

Joint pain 😫

Can anyone suggest supplements that have helped to combat this? My legs (especially my knees) and shoulders are agony at night and I'm struggling to get comfy enough to sleep then when I do drop off I move position and the pain wakes me up.

Have you had your Vitamin D levels checked? I would suggest a Vitamin D supplement as when I have been low in it, it caused joint pain.

Hello!
I might be being somewhat premature here… I am only 37 but wondering wether I am at the early stages of perimenopause - I suffer with brain fog, struggle to sleep, have started getting warm in the night (and I am typically a person who really feels the cold and enjoys being warm) my mood swings are ridiculous, I struggle to lose weight and have low energy and I get this horrible itch in my ear. I am still having regular periods, but I am on contraception, so would assume that’s what keeps them ticking along regularly!?

I don’t know really… I’ve just really started to not feel myself. Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated! 😊

I would ask for your thyroid to be checked as it can cause similar symptoms to peri menopause.

For the last 3 days I have had period cramping really low down, but no sign of a period. Is this a thing? Its mainly ok in the day as I'm largely distracted, but is awful at night and I can't get comfortable. I'm sick of peri. Sleep is pretty crap. Went 200 days without a period, then they came back 🙄.

I had this. Then I got spotting for about two weeks after. Can I ask how old you are please - I’m 51.

Vit D gurus, is there anything I can take to help with absorption? I'm taking a high dosage supplement but still coming out as Vit D deficient in blood tests (and therefore being sent a factsheet on eating more eggs by the practice nurse 🙄).

Do you take it with a meal? I do. It helps absorb it more.

I keep it on my desk at work and I'm not the most consistent at weekends. I hadn't realised I was actually low in it until the GP tested me while I was having my iron tested as I'm anaemic and suffering with hair loss. I started taking it when I moved to Scotland 20 years ago, on the advice of my Aussie flatmate. The one I take is D3, at 5,000 IU.

I can only get the actual number results via SAR as they're not given directly to patients at my GP. It's a real faff to try and find out what's actually going on.
