Perimenopause moans #2

1
Has anybody had heart flutters or palpitations in peri? Only started having them yesterday. I have a big event coming up so thought it was a bit of anxiousness but I don’t think it’s that. Cut back on caffeine, etc and not too bad now but it’s still there. About a year ago I had the odd one and saw the GP. Sent me to a cardiologist and all very good and healthy. Feckin menopause 🤬🤬🤬

Yes, I’ve not had them for a while but it was quite startling when it first happened.
I believe it’s another symptom.

Yes. Had them a few times then got them again last week. Mainly on waking or laying in bed on an evening. Really unpleasant but have gone again now. Think it’s to do with high estrogen (or it might be low..I’ve forgotten since I googled it!).

Yes. I read that palpitations at rest are almost always due to hormones ,either peri fluctuations or thyroid issues.

Has anyone had period pain with slight spotting but no period actually turning up?!
The only time I had this was with mirena 9months in when I had other menopause symptoms too. I got it out soon after.

It can be iron or magnesium deficiency

I get them but not that often thankfully. Interesting about the magnesium cos i nowtake that at night to help my sleep!

I had a really bad period of anxiety in the pandemic and ended up in a&e with pains and fast heart rate from waking in the night. Realise how it it was prob early peri. I never had anxiety before then.. i had put it down to working through in the NHS: I had bloods and ecg and was fine of course.

I’m on HRT. I am 55. Longest between bleeds has been 190 days. What always puzzles me though is how do I know that any bleeding I have isn’t “post meno” bleeding or abnormal bleeding that warrants investigation? I can’t call myself menopausal cos I’ve not had the magic one year between bleeds…….. but some of my bleeds have been extremely light and just a couple of days. All very confusing 😵‍💫

Out of the blue I think I’ve got heartburn (GERD?) a burning cool feeling in my throat. Never had it before. Also so full of anxiety and rage. Last night with all the fireworks being let off in a locked park, my dogs were barking nonstop and seriously I could have gone all Sweetpea on those fuckwits letting them off at 12.30am.
Any tips of the heartburn? I know I need anger management 😳

Almonds help. The kind with the skin on. Avoid mint.

I'm not. I can't get out to get to the gp in person due to other reasons

it's just another thing on my list of things to do that I just don't have the energy for
My friend pays privately for hers with Boots. Not sure if that's an option for you ? Think it's about £50 she pays.
