Paul from Perth

Yeah I saw the latest video updates when they came out. I'm not subbed either, I just check out the channel. Someone in the comments was saying that it must have felt great being able to shower! That was a really naive comment. I had a surgery where I had 1 drain for 4 days and showering was challenging, imagine Paul with like, 10 drains and his whole body literally covered in stitches. It must have been hell. He looks sad and short of breath, probably from the pain... I bet even breathing is painful for him right now.
 
I have been concerned about Paul since it's uncharacteristic not to hear from him or Caroline if even briefly. Someone did post earlier today saying someone they trust told them that Paul is still present and accounted for at the hospital. Not sure how I feel about that honestly as I don't like the idea of having people checked on, but hopefully he's ok.

Same. It's not like him at all and the last video or short I saw he seemed really breathless. I'm hoping they just said forget filming till he can do it properly, but I still feel something isn't right. Hope I'm wrong:(

I hope I'm wrong but... the fact that Caroline hasn't posted anything makes me think that he's sedated or something, maybe after an emergency surgery to fix some complications, and she doesn't feel like giving updates without his consent.

I think even if she had gone home from Sydney she would have posted something by now if he was okay. His breathing in that last short was really not very good.

Yeah. The shortness of breath could have been from pain but also from lung issues, I've read that it's one of the many possible complications.
 
Caroline just posted a detailed update recorded on Sun 11/5. I've only watched 10 minutes but she's doing a very good job explaining everything.

Everyone needs a Caroline to be their in-patient advocate. He has been through so much: depression, hallucinations, confusion, suicidal thoughts, pulmonary embolism, fever, infection and I'm sure, more that I haven't mentioned. Since this was recorded on Sun but posted today, I feel that he has improved as far as his infection goes. She does a very good job describing everything.

OMG this is giving me flashbacks to my ordeal in the hospital after my 8 hr colon cancer surgery.

Poor dude. Thank God for Caroline.
