One Day Of Winter #5 Bathroom locked, lentil slop, favouritism has to stop.

That’s not true. Lots of parents defer school entry for their summer born children now, and as long as they have an agreement with the school, they start in Reception and carry on with that cohort all the way through school.
Not at our school a parent wanted to keep

Oh well, I just know at our school it is, we have a special needs child that the parents wanted to stay in nursery for an extra year and they were told by the dfe that If they do they will skip reception and go straight to year one (which luckily they’ve seen sense as reception is such an important year for them) ❤️

There's a little boy in my son's year who has done this. His birthday is in the last couple of weeks of August and he has some learning difficulties, so he's a year behind where he would be if they'd followed the system.

However, Nicola has spent the past 4 years spouting off about how bright Raven is, so this seems an odd choice. I can only assume that it's a financial decision based on being able to get funding.

This has got me wondering though, how many hours will she be working when she returns to work? Because I swear she was only working 10 hours a week before, and if I remember rightly, don't both parents need to be earning the equivalent of 16 hours a weeks wages to qualify? (I may have that wrong, it's been a couple of years since we were in that system.)

R’s school is also a good 20/25 minute drive (with no traffic) from their house. Whilst that’s no problem really, P is the only one that drives and it’s the opposite direction to Derby, it’s not near her work either. So she’s going to be spending lots more on petrol and god knows how she’s going to cope with getting R to school and herself to work! I didn’t mention Ember because she’s probably staying home alone and looking after herself!

I think she knows that outcomes for August borns are consistently not great compared with autumn born kids, even if they have no SEN. It could also be a funding issue, I suppose private schools don’t care how you play the system, as long as they get paid.

How long ago was this? I deferred my autistic son who should have started school in 2019. My August born nephew deferred and he’s 9 now.

Browsing on Facebook marketplace and look who pops up! Guessing they’re a bit short of money with some of the tat she’s trying to sell on there. And asking £100 for her pushchair 😂 lovely to see she gives no shits about her children’s privacy on there either

the kids went out in their pyjamas!!! Get your kids dressed Pea!!! 🙄🙄

God she’s a lazy cow, takes a few mins to dress your kids

The Ethernet cable was the worst one I think, a bloody fiver for a cable 😂

She'll be lucky to get £100 for that pram. Our local Mothercare was flogging them off at £150 brand new when I was pram shopping 6 years ago.

I bet it's filthy too 🤢

Exactly, she’s obviously trying to get back most of what she paid, but she bought that pram for winter, and it’s been used for two children, she’s mental if she thinks she will get £100 for it. I’ve seen travel systems on there in better condition for £40 and people are still reluctant to pay that - people want something for nothing these days, and you will always take a loss selling stuff like that on!

This!! I had a pram with two carrycots, two seat units, loads of accessories and it was less than 2 years old, immaculate condition. In the end I sold it for £40 because it just wouldn't sell any higher! I didn't even get a quarter back of what I paid originally! You can buy decent brand new prams for not much more than £100 nowadays, people won't pay that for second hand!

Every time I see a photo of Raven she’s W-sitting? Will P ever learn how bad that is for a child?

You'd think as a "TA" (I use that job title loosely) that she'd be aware of this. If she gave a tit, she'd stop it.

Imagine her being a TA for your child. I think I'd change schools. I bet she reeks too, and I can't believe she's 36! Younger than me but she looks twice my age.

Taking your kids out in their pjs isn't crunchy. It's lazy and disgusting. Even I, as a disabled mum who struggles with everything, could never lower myself to taking out unwashed, dirty children in pyjamas they'd slept in.

I actually think that’s quite a sweet and thoughtful reply?!
I agree it’s a well worded reply, pre Ember too, the issue is the hip displacement, plus she’s at an age that you can say “sit properly don’t hurt your hips”

She’ll probably block you now she knows you’re on here. She does read here, she did actually reply to one of these threads but deleted it quickly so on one managed to get her name.

let’s watch and wait 😂
