Everyone I know roundabout calls it, that school with the free range kids. Or the strange school.
It's also not local to her, maybe this is why she's confused and thinks she lives in the country?

She's playing, Nicola. While there's probably some educational value to her games, she's just playing. Like millions of kids the world over do. She's not doing anything unusual or spectacular, she's being a child.

Also, the saving money not having to buy uniform for this wonderful school? Works the other way for us. Because my kid is in his uniform 5 days a week, he needs less regular clothes to wear. And in a lot of cases, you can pick up school uniform at primary age from supermarkets for less than you'd spend on regular clothes.

(It may have just been a passing comment, but because she comes across so smug about everything she does, this just felt like she was being smug too .)

It's becoming increasingly clear that her 'gentle' approach extends only to Raven. The benefit of being on leave with Ember has been balanced against Raven's 'need' to be flexi schooled and once again Raven has been favoured. She's obsessed with that child, which is okay we all are...but generally we feel that way about all our children not just one.

I saw her at the shopping centre local to her yesterday. Raven was actually sat on top of Ember in the stroller, poor kid looked squashed to bits! And Nicola looked like a waif!

Damien was trying to grab my boobs because she wanted to feed and I was telling her no, and then Nicola bloody swept in and had a go at me about how it wasn’t fair to deny Raven access to my boobs WHAT THE duck.
