Odd Neighbours / Neighbour Problems #3

1
We sometimes get a street cleaner, but it’s not even mucky. He just likes being seen as the bloke with all the fancy loud gear. We can’t have a conversation in the garden it’s so loud. He’s been doing the pressure washing for 4.5 hours now.
Wow!! Maybe he's trying to stay away from the wife 🤣

I hate people that do stuff like that, just sort your own garden out and leave it at that.

Ugh my neighbours still seem to have some weird obsession with me. I think I’m going to move properties pretty soon I’m so uncomfortable within the one I currently live at.

While there's no way in hell I would want a street party, seeing all these street parties made me wonder why are neighbours all pricks?
Everyone I know lives in a street where at least 1 house is absolutely hated!
Its usually entitled pricks who think they own the street for parking, they usually have 3 vehicles and a single drive.
If you fit this criteria and demand your 2 cars are in front of your house i guarantee youre the prick of the street and everyone hates you. Yea they may chat nicely but as soon as they shut the door they are saying "cant stand that prick"
So my advice to the pricks of the world, extend your drive or move to somewhere you can be accomodated! I would suggest giving up your entitlement to park wherever you want but that wont happen!

Parking really is such a bug bear, isn't it? I get hours of enjoyment watching my neighbours run out of their house to shuffle their cars and work van so they have their "fleet assembled" - the buggering work van in front of our house (top view), and one car in front of them, one in front of their other neighbour. I see other curtains twitch so I think quite a few of us find the "disturbed ants' nest" frantic activity to move and repark vehicles to secure their spaces hilarious.

Ours are the same. We have 1 car and a HUGE drive you could get 4 cars on easily with room to extend for another 1 or 2 cars. It was a high priority when we looked for a house to have parking as I always thought we would end up with 2 cars so needed something where 2 could park without needing to juggle cars.
I genuinely think they think they should be able to park on my drive! They use it as their own personal turning circle, and they've wrecked it! Its all skew at the end but im not fixing it, they can all sod off.
As long as I can get my car on the drive im not particularly arsed but when i look out and see them doing the same juggle to get "their" space it pisses me off. This exact same situation happens in my mothers street, my grandmothers street, my mother in law, my uncle, and 2 of my friends.
All caused by companies allowing staff to take commercial vans home. It wouldnt be so bad if it was small vans but its them massive sprinter types.
I just dont think it should be allowed. For my car insurance i have to say where my car is at all hours of the day, so how the hell this works for these companies! Plus surely there's more chance they'd get broken into/stolen (one could only hope)

So many ppl affected, I'm considering buying my OWN sprinter and hiring it out to park infront of the pricks houses 😂

Yes, they're massive garish vans. I get people might need to work odd hours or be on call, have early starts etc but at least stick your van outside your own house rather than parking a car in front of yours and a the huge van in front of the neighbours' house.

Ive never seen them move it outside of working hours apart from to go to the takeaway

My street is pure chaos for this.
It’s a culdesac and to be fair my end of the street isn’t too bad parking wise. My next door neighbour parks outside my house as he has a trailer on his driveway at the mo and it’s just easier. We all have shared driveways that are long but narrow. You could easily have 4 small cars on most of them.

but from a few houses down from mine where people have multiple cars and vans it’s terrible. You can’t walk on the pavement because big cars and vans are parked on it and the actual road is so narrow if they parked or the curb no one could get by. Towards the junction at the end of my street people often double park which often means no one can get through, and there’s regularly someone parked right on the corner. Silly thing is the worst culprits could get rid of their front lawn and make it into parking but just don’t.

Its always the same. They are selfish! Ours could easily park their 2 cars on the drive if they bunched up - i had to do this for years when i lived at home with my mother because im not a prick and i realised introducing a 2nd car to the street would cause issues... so I just squeezed on!

Agreed, you can barely move in any residential street now for these vans. I hate it when they park at the edge of a junction so you can't see to emerge. Then they park on the pavement so mobility scooters/wheelchairs/prams can't get through. Selfish.
