Definitely. £400 a month is our entire disposable
income for the 5 of us after food, petrol and household bills (so for everything, clothes, shoes, birthdays, christmas, school uniforms, a day out, treats, haircuts etc), and I feel incredibly, incredibly lucky to have that much. There once was a time where it was £50 a month that had cover everything bar basic food and bills and it was misery and some families don’t even have that.
So for someone to be sharing shoes and bleeping belts for Gods sake that cost a bomb is tone deaf. Anyone who spends £400 on a belt of all ridiculous things when they have a bit of extra cash that’s come in certainly isn’t anyone who has ever struggled!
I don’t know if it’s becuase she’s trying to keep up with other people, she’s just a show off or her privileged background just won’t let her see any other way of life, but it’s really grating.

grow up you twats. We’ve had a number of things delivered with no packaging (just an address label stuck to the product box) at Xmas that have been gifts one of us has seen and between us we say “I haven’t seen it, honest!” And act grateful and surprised when we unwrap it on the day.
