Ooh, I want this to be true.
Although hope it's more first film quality than the second film quality. Wasn't the biggest fan of the second one.

his twitter replies certainly seem to think so! and he does have previous for using emojis to announce new jobs. though i do wonder if he would be allowed to drop such a huge hint literally the day after the announcement (and again it makes his rwrb silence all the louder imo anyway, i will stop banging on about it
)i’d love him to be full bottoms style unhinged in it or have him be the villain. i loved the first knives out but wasn’t as keen on the second one - just hope hugh grant is back too!

oh i didn’t explain it very well! i absolutely think it’s right, i just don’t know how into it he is
i feel like a sequel was probably in the original contract he signed and he wasn’t expecting to have to do it (especially with the sudden rise in his profile over the last few months) - it’s odd that “he” hasn’t mentioned the podcast, the glaad award, the emmy panel, the sequel itself…. any of that stuff for a movie he wasn’t able to mention in the first instance, you’d think he/his team would be jumping at the chance. he did say some stuff when prompting mary and george about not really wanting to do romcoms anymore (with weird wording that i know we talked about last thread). this is all based on nothing other than me being

Haha oh I agree, I've doubted how true it was myself as he hasn't mentioned it. He definitely seems less into it, mind you even taylor hasn't posted thst much about it and took him days to acknowledge it.
They're friendship seems genuine, and they also seem to love the creatives and fellow cast. So, I don't know, maybe it's just too early. Or they don't want to fan flames on their own sexuality

i think it’s absolutely a genuine friendship and i think he genuinely has a lot of affection for the movie - BUT i equally think we’ve got two leads on very different career trajectories right now, and from nick’s pov i get that he and his team probably think he doesn’t need to be doing this, whereas taylor sadly doesn’t seem to have any other projects lined up (and hasn’t since this one wrapped). it is just strange to me that he wouldn’t acknowledge the glaad if nothing else. but i am saying this from the viewpoint of someone who has found some of his comments in interviews recently a little

I agree, I also think he is uncomfortable with the gay roles...or his people are trying to distance him from them to get him more mainstream.

I don’t think he has controlled his social media since the end of the actors‘ strike. He posts the occasional bts pics from his phone when he promotes a project, but other than that it’s all photoshoots, link to interviews and promo content clearly not posted by himself. The days of his cover songs and funny pics are gone; I guess someone at his agency said that the likes of Chalamet, Mescal, Butler or Elordi aren’t known for singing Taylor Swift songs on TikTok

Yeah he seemed less smiley even at the RWRB event when they announced the sequel. I think he’s happy about it; the movie was a mega hit after all, but he does seem less giddy than at the Oscar party or during the Idea of You promo (some of which was recorded months ago). Maybe this sudden change of pace in his celebrity status is a bit weird for him, after ten years in the business.

He had a nice, relaxed level of celebrity, with movies that were exclusively streaming hits, most of them during the pandemic and when RWRB and Bottoms were released, there was no press tour either. He had fans, interacted with some of the fan accounts, posted his cheesy cover songs and pandemic videos without being bothered about them.
This year he’s suddenly everywhere, giving countless interviews where his every word is now being analyzed and/or criticized. It’s what celebrities all go through, but I wonder if it’s a bit of a „be careful what you wish for“ scenario for him.
Obviously, it could also be a case of being tired after five months of promo
