What did you put your newborns to sleep in please? It just occurred to me we don’t have anything other than cellular blankets etc! I’m wondering about buying love to dream swaddles as the sleep sacks will be too big I think 🤔
We just used blankets. Our baby is very fidgety and likes her arms free so I’d probably advise waiting to see what they’re like before you invest as the swaddles can be expensive! We have a couple of sleeping bags too, but again I find them annoying as when I feed her in the night they get milk on them under her chin which then is cold/damp/stinky. Basically find 2x blankets tucked in far easier logistically. But every baby likes different things!

It depends on baby weight! I swaddled him in a cellular blanket for a good while.
I used a grow bag then from around 6 weeks as he was over the 7lbs and I was afraid he was too small .

He's now 11 months still use the sleep bag at night time but just a blanket during the day in his cot

Wee Man and the Threenager both slept with cellular blankets. They both outgrew the next to me early (4/5 months) so were in sleep sacks in their cot. By this point they both moved around a lot in their sleep so wouldn't have stayed under a blanket.

Mine was under the weight limit for a sleeping bag so just used a cellular blanket at first until he reached the right weight. Now we use a sleeping bag and keep his arms out as he likes them out.

What brand are you using? I found size 1 Aldi was great but size 2 just didn’t work with Baby Lava’s body shape. Maybe try the size up in a different brand?

Omg don’t even. That would piss me off sooo much. Men have no clue x

We have been using Sainsbury’s which I was really happy with for a few days until the leaks! Will try another brand thank you.

Just a sleep suit/baby grow and a blanket tucked in below the shoulders with arms up. He loves sleeping with his arms up haha

Baby has been constipated so called 111 who got us an out of hours gp appointment. Guess who did an explosive poo half hour before the appointment 🙃🙃🙃🙃 (not me)
I used to put baby boy in my favourite dungarees and he was always guaranteed to poo and destroy them 😂😂
Putting them in white works too 🤭

This literally happened to me, so embarrassing turning up to the appointment to tell them he was fine now 🤣🤣🤣

I had love to dreams till he outgrew them, now sleep sacks. They def helped with the startle reflex, he was a very flappy newborn and he’d startle himself a wake when he wasn’t secured into his LTD 🤣

Oh god the white. I had these gorgeous Junior Jasper Conran rompers I found on Vinted and one was white with a small navy pattern. He hadn’t pooed for like 4 days. I put him in that and took him to a baby playgroup thing for the first time (he was like 2 months old) and we were there for 90 minutes, at home the rest of the day. Guess when he decided to do a poo so bad I had to change his outfit 🙃 literally if he hadn’t gone for a few days just needed to put him in that outfit and bam. Guaranteed a poo.

I have one with wild arms all over the place while she sleeps, so have been just using a blanket to allow them to be free. At first I thought swaddling would help her sleep to stop the arms from flying about, but she seemed more irritated that she couldn’t do it.
I do have some sleep sacks but imagine she won’t be in them for a little while!

My god mum life is a whirlwind isn’t it! Time has gone so fast 😭!

I really want a hot bath but not sure when I’m allowed to, google says different things with different temps and I just want to be lobster 😂 I miss really hot baths! I’m 7 weeks pp do you think it’s safe for a hot bath now?

Yes I got told at my 4 week check it was fine, and I had stitches down there. Assuming you are all healed up I think you can?

I got told to wait 6 weeks so you should be fine! (Didn’t actually manage to finally have one until a couple of weeks ago and omg it was heaven)

Those who have introduced a bottle of formula to a breastfed baby, did they struggle with it at first?

Baby Shark had his first bottle, used the kendamil ready made milk, he took 3oz but has been horrendously grizzly and struggling to pass wind/poop since he had it yesterday afternoon.
I’m reluctant to give him anymore but my boobs need a break, he’s 10 weeks.

My son spewed every time I tried him formula after having breast milk for 11 weeks. My hv said to mix made up formula with breast milk and slowly up the ratio and I did that til we transitioned to formula after 4 months.

I haven’t got any checks unless I book a Doctors appointment, but it looks like it’s heal
Whoops, I had stitches and said fuck it and had a boiling hot bath at just over 2 weeks. Couldn’t cope anymore I missed it 🙈 poured myself a glass of Prosecco and sat in the bath for an hour while boyfriend looked after baby, it was lush.

Omg sounds like heaven!

Has anybody got any advice for colic or potential milk allergy?
Going to call gp tomorrow but baby has a rash/eczema all over his face and getting really unsettled on a night. It’s getting to the point where he’s screaming from about 7pm until gone midnight and it’s really affecting me now. He will be 5 weeks on Tuesday and is on cow and gate formula. We used infacol and colief but isn’t helping and he’s done 1 poo in a week.
