I'm not going to bother until he starts walkingWhen did you wonderful people with older children look at prewalkers? Or did you bother? Ive only realised today they are a thing
Thank you. She's cruising around now and can stand a few seconds on her own every now and again and someone mentioned them to me and then I googled them, think ill just wait til she's actually walking too, seems like a bit of a scam to me maybe some grippy socksI'm not going to bother until he starts walking
Exactly and a lot of the baby grows 6-9 months and above have grips for that reason.. she's not cruising outside so I can't see the reason for shoes in my honest opinionThank you. Thanks for sharing I have reached out for help and hoping things can improve for me. I'm glad to hear things are getting better for you. Currently feels like I'm drowning but hopefully things get easierim 8 weeks postpartum and have suffered the most horrendous postpartum anxiety. Spent the first 6 weeks crying hysterically that I couldn’t cope, and spent all my time on google diagnosing baby with all sorts of incurable diseases. I actually ended up at breaking point and had to ring the crisis team. My family spotted my anxiety weeks ago and were begging me to go to the doctors for help, honestly wish I’d reached out for help sooner but I was waiting for my hormones to settle thinking I’d feel better. I’m now on antidepressants and receiving support and the difference is crazy, I’m enjoying my baby and not having a constant racing mind. Please seek help before it gets too far!
Personally didn't see the point unless their feet need that protection but didn't really have any occasion they did, just had grippy socks if it was particularly cold or at soft play. If it's best for them to feel the ground under their feet, use their toes and spread their weight, find their balance etc shoes seemed unnecessary until they were walking outside. When did you wonderful people with older children look at prewalkers? We did double nappies as the scan was borderline for us, luckily it had resolved by the time we had a second scan.Has anyone’s little one been flagged for potential hip dysplasia? We had a physio check at 5 weeks and they said our baby’s hips aren’t totally in the sockets the way they should be (sorry, not correct terminology) and that we basically have til 12 weeks to try and sort them otherwise she’ll have to wear a brace. They were quite flippant about that.. obviously I don’t want that for her! They’ve advised we stretch her hips every day into the frog/M position as much as possible which I try and do, but am worried I’m not doing enough

What does that mean sorry? We did double nappies as the scan was borderline for us, luckily it had resolved by the time we had a second scan.
I think the angle is meant to be 60 and our baby was just under so they recommended putting two nappies on baby to help position their hips. So a double layer of nappies. Bit annoying but hopefully it helped as his second hip scan was fine. What does that mean sorry?
Oh interesting. They didn’t give us many tips on how to help it. They just told me to stretch her legs whenever I was changing her nappy and put her in the carrier. It’s hard as she’s got quite a lot of reflux so I’m always feeding her in a sitting up position, she hardly ever wants to be on her front which is the easiest way of getting the legs into that position!I think the angle is meant to be 60 and our baby was just under so they recommended putting two nappies on baby to help position their hips. I’m in my 40s and my Mum did double nappies for me then too. It just helps to keep the legs in an M position and not pressed together in the hopes they’ll develop in the right place (in the same way the brace would but obviously less severe and intrusive). I believe they suggest you don’t swaddle babies with hip dysplasia at the legs for the same reason.Oh interesting. They didn’t give us many tips on how to help it. Awh I remember the gunky eyes well, took us about 3 weeks to clear ours if I remember correctly. Cooled boiled water and a cotton ball and just gently wipe it away. The lack of sleep is so so tough but absolutely normal so be easy on yourself xxHad our first awful night last night. Up from 1am until 5am, just wanting to be held and every time I put her down she just screamed. Ended up frustrated, then started crying because what if something happened and the last thing baby heard was me being angry her eyes are also full of gunk which I’m hoping is just blocked tear ducts and not the start of a cold.

I had the same too! Awake all night and I’ve never cried so much either. How old are they? X
She’s 11 days old, I think because she’s sleeping all day she’s trying to have a wake window at night but she’s too tired to. I’m praying it doesn’t happen again tonight
We found this helped in the early days of being unsettled due to tummy pain. I think maybe as their little bellies start to get bigger and take more around this time it’s harder for them to process it.Another sleepless night for us! Baby still not settling and we’ve been trying since 8pm
