I truly believe the style and beauty forum are trolling each other

I’m-particularly offended by the 2003bad fitting jeans and brown leather jacket look

I hate to say this but i think skinny jeans suited them more, and I never liked any kind of jeans so no horse in that race! The new, looser fit doesnt work with floppy tops imo, but I admit we are all different and should wear what we like. They seem overly bothered about what 'people under 30 are wearing' and this puzzles me as I too am middle aged. I couldn't give a furry duck. I have certainly noticed that younger girls style baggy jeans much better than this. But then I dress like a *rainswept sheep farmer so not an expert.

*so artisanal, so rich, so upper MC 'cos my ratty old cashmere fibres are longer than yours, lol.

You should probably have a good look around mumsnet and see how nasty and passive aggressive and patronising users are to each other in nearly every single thread before passing judgment on us babe

They're happy to ignore the very valid points being raised on Tattle about child exploitation, lack of ethics and compliance in influencer marketing etc., but they're up in arms if someone gets called a wanker 🙄

See this is what I mean- this is actually GRANSnet haha 😂
1. This story is boring. Nobody cares about this apart from your family. It’s on a Christmas shopping thread.
2. I’m sure she doesn’t make a LOT of money reselling things she buys. Does the mum understand this or does she think DD is a genius and she just HAS to educate the masses?

'Night shift is brutal for your health.
It increases heart disease and risk for diabetes, cancer, and stroke. It wrecks your clock.

I agree that gaming is not particularly healthy here. But I'm stunned by your lack of acknowledgement that a. his job is actively poisonous for him and that he might need coping mechanisms to deal with it and b. that he is actually doing something, i.e. taking the night work resulting in you having a good night's sleep.

I agree that having a few set tasks he decides to do whilst looking after the baby is a good idea. He could and should certainly do some meal prep and light cleaning. But you get to go to bed at 10 pm and sleep until 6 am. He doesn't, either for work or for taking care of the baby. That counts, and it shouldn't be something that's resented.'

Talk about going off at the deep end. Stunned, she is, no less. Stunned, I tell you. The poor OP only asked what seemed like a reasonable question to me.

I was thinking exactly the same as you - selling on charity shop finds isn't big business anymore. Charity shops have people in to sift through their donations and anything worth a bit of money is put up for auction, not stuck on the 50p rail. Added to which, antique/vintage fairs/car boot sales all died a death during the pandemic and haven't really recovered since. She'd be lucky to make back the price of booking a selling space. Her DD isn't a genius, she's not very bright if she's considering this is a good way of making a living.

I live near a very depressed area (shock horror!) and it isn't what you'd call ...naice.
The people who are struggling wear mostly leggings, trackies or sweatpants. If MNer's are worried they'll look lower class in skinny jeans they are sadly wrong.
However (adjusts bowtie) when I mingle amongst more affluent folks they are still, even their teens, wearing skinny jeans with converse and plain (probably expensive) anoraks. But shh, don't let them know! 😁

Agree with this. My daughter is 14 and wears baggy jeans and a tight crop top which she can get away with because she’s a teenager. Meanwhile, you’ll have to peel my skinny jeans off my cold dead legs. Also don’t understand why they’re obsessed with what under 30’s are wearing because the majority dress like ‘fun’ Aunty Maureen with their quirky statement necklaces and indoor scarves and waterfall cardigans.

Just one daughter? She’s not one of a set of twins? Are you even allowed on mumsnet?

Don’t forget their sketchers too!
