Did you lose your phone? No recourse with PMs?Same here.
Well, we both left another forum due to a clique driving lots of us away and joined MN about the same time.
We'd met up a few times before joining MN and got along really well.
They didn't post much on MN though and I lost all their contact details just after Covid struck.
So, they might still be on there but I have no way of knowing.
Did you lose your phone? No recourse with PMs?
Sounds similar to how much do you have saved for childcare or whatever posts where people explain they’re sitting on absolutely ginormous mountains of cash that they’ve carefully put aside for when they start their family… but find it necessary to post on Mumsnet “is 175k enough? DH and I worried sick, it’s taken us 6 months to save” - I ffound these posts utterly depressing since I never considered how bloody expensive kids are before it was too late - and I’d spent my money on Adults Only holidays which I found boring once I was on them anyway still, you live and learn..Just reading the how old will you be when mortgage is paid off, really made me eyeroll!
I’m confused by some of their maths “we pay £3k a month but will have paid off the remaining £100k+ in a year”Just reading the how old will you be when mortgage is paid off, really made me eyeroll!
Though they are all full of tit & wouldn't have saved anything!Sounds similar to how much do you have saved for childcare or whatever posts where people explain they’re sitting on absolutely ginormous mountains of cash that they’ve carefully put aside for when they start their family… but find it necessary to post on Mumsnet “is 175k enough? Does anyone know a MNer in real life? Please elaborate on what they are like...

Wedding ones are my favourites. People seem to lose all sense of reality
Here's a "helpful" scripted message today for someone who hasn't received an invitation to a wedding in their friendship group.
Imagine advising someone to say they're "totally rocking the cool and mature attitude" to being left out

Call me cynical but such thread titles harvest a LOT of views and traction. My guess is that MN start them or friends of MN (press).Just reading the how old will you be when mortgage is paid off, really made me eyeroll!
Good point!Call me cynical but such thread titles harvest a LOT of views and traction. My guess is that MN start them or friends of MN (press).
On a thread on Style and Beauty asking for recommendations for on-trend trainers.
Could be a joke but then again...
My stan smiths are about 6 years old and are now my take the rubbish out trainers . Don’t get me wrong, I’m defo not a slave to trends but it’s the way they really think they know what’s ‘in’.This thread made me laugh, the OP asked for whats ‘in’ atm and someone suggest sketchers
Also any threads on trainers you get the ‘veja is soOoO over’ and no one over 30 wears them yet the same ones bang on about the dead stan smith trainers they all love which again is not worn by anyone under 30!
