Given a freebie at the self checkout in Tesco? Cheers!

However if I'm going through a till and the person serving me accidentally gives me back too much change, I will always be honest and point it out to them.
I worked on a supermarket checkout while I was at uni and I know how much trouble someone could get into if their till doesn't balance.

I stole loo roll from Sainsburys by accident. Stuck them under the trolley and then forgot they were there when I went through the checkout, then just merrily left the store.
I felt a bit guilty about not going back in to pay for them, but I got over it.

On a thread about the first thing you do when you get home from holiday. It's just so Mumsnet to have a plan to deal with bed bugs when this is something that has not even been an issue in your life so far.

I dump the bags in the corner, swear silently (or not so silently) that there is now a tit load of washing. Turn the heating on, and then promptly sit on my bum, doom scroll and do nothing with the suitcases and bag of dirty laundry for a week until I realise I have no clean knickers left any more.
Takes me approximately 1-2 weeks to unpack. I have usually packed for holiday in a panicked 1-2 hrs the day before we left. Or the morning we left.

I mean maybe I am inadvertently dealing with beg bugs without being aware? Through sheer laziness.

Meant to upload it . I'm actually speechless
How nasty and mean spirited. She'd send round a MAN to give the old lady a telling off? All over a bloody cat? Cats roam wherever they damn well want to, and if that includes visiting an old lady neighbour for food, then so what? My cat does as she pleases. She's also very fat and I suspect she has several meals a day, not just the one I give her.

I have family members who went on a 6 week long cruise. They ran up a huge ship bill for excursions, drinks, food etc all secured against their payment card. Cruise ended, they went home and the card was never debited. They chased the cruise company up (the bill was over £1k and they knew it would be taken eventually) and the cruise company said "no, it's all showing up as paid off - you definitely don't need to pay it".
They kept the money to the side for a year, it was never taken and so they got all expenses on a 6-week cruise totally free.
Jammy buggers 😅

Hopefully this was over 6 years ago, because thats how long they can come back for it for.

MN cat owners are a special breed. Their cats are allowed to tit all over their neighbours garden because CATS ROAM but if anyone so much as glances in the direction of the stranger’s cat shitting in their garden bed, they’re clearly a CAT THIEF.

That's reminded me. I owe ASDA 13 quid. I used the self scan ages ago and tapped my card, walked off without looking and got home to realise I'd used up my contactless amount and it hadn't been taken. As a genteel middle class lady (with RG uni kids, obvs) who rarely goes into asda anyway - I have no idea what was doing there - I must have been lost <cough> I called them to explain and they said 'don't matter, come in again and pay it if you like'.
Reader, I haven't returned...

I "have" a cat who decided that he preferred to be a farm cat and moved in with the neighbours.
