on another wedding dress thread 😂

I just came here to say the same thing. The first part was bad enough, but to say she’s pregnant was sketchy, twins and potential syphilis? You’ve lost me a little

I always err on the side of caution though. 15 years ago I posted on a parenting forum about how awful my child’s father was, my life was like bleeping eastenders back then 😫 I was 6 month pregnant. My world was crushed and then the next day…. I gave birth. People thought I was trolling til a few of them saw my pictures on social media 😑

Wanky thread about job titles and not telling people what you do because the great unwashed won’t understand

I see the anti EV brigade are out on that thread. Despite being the type of car least likely to catch fire they’re betting it’s a Tesla one even posting a link to back up her Tesla theory but not actually reading the bit that says “ numerous reports have shown fires in electric vehicles are far less likely than in their combustion engine counterparts”

As for the Jag. My son in law came home with an old X Type a few years ago. He paid a similar amount for it. They needed a second car for a work commute and he said it was cheap and luxury so he was going to have some fun. I took the piss mercilessly as he was about 22 at the time and threatened to buy him a flat cap and a cushion for the back seat. To be fair the thing ran and ran. They did holidays all over the UK with it and when he eventually sold it he lost £100 on what he’d paid two years before.

"just have weight loss surgery"

oh sure...major surgery that costs a fortune, there's your answer

I also don't get people who say protein is more satisfying and filling than carbs...for me it just isn't or at least it really depends on what we're talking about carb wise but I'd be far more full from a jacket potato with some beans (which obviously does have protein but I know it's not what they mean by protein) than a salad with chicken breast on it. I could probably get through most of the meat on a roast chicken to myself but I'd be stuffed if I ate two large jacket potatoes.

Anyone seen the lower earners thread?

Someone who earns £70k was very quick to come along and say that everyone they know earns more than them and that they are the poor ones in their circle

Then there's someone where their household income is £90k, someone else who earns £45k on her own at a young age, others on £70k. I know they are probably all made up figures but do they not know what a lower wage is!?

Do I need to see a dr if perimenopause is causing a positive pregnancy test?

Half a page of replies with yes you need HRT etc etc before someone pipes up with have you had sex? Yes but I’m 50.

others suggesting no menopause doesn’t result in +ve HCG, but some kinds of tumours can.

Surely in the normal world if you are having periods, have sex and then get a positive pregnancy test the first most obvious cause would be pregnancy?

Yeah knew the anti EV lot would turn up. :(

I rolled my eyes at that one too. My uncle was born when my Grandma was 50. He was pretty much raised by my Mum. Certainly wasn’t uncommon at all back in the day.
