Think its all but seedy and not the romantic fairy tale they make out.

I assume they were on a break when she was on florida.
She broke up with him then found out she was pregnant with safaya so got back together with him.
I assume he being bit older owned a small flat which they sold as maybe deposit for shared ownership house.

The gaps not that huge but depends when they get together.
As she was under 16 it seems seedier as aged 19 he was an adult and age consent 16.

Safaya was unplanned.
She still is at age 29 very immature and materialistic its like shes a teenager.

Anyone remember that dodgy house party they vlogged last year.
 
They have said they were on a break while she was in Florida but I think that was a good year or so before she would have been pregnant, as they have said she was pregnant while doing her final year at uni/graduation etc

Not sure what the appeal was in Lee.... he’s not exactly a head turner is he?! Maybe it was the fact he was a bit older and had his own flat?! The mind boggles.....

What an error though to go on record saying all that stuff about the pregnancy and what her parents thought... that’s out there in the public domain now. Don’t they think that S will look stuff up online?!

100% couldn’t care less if they do adverts it’s pretending you aren’t is what is bad about it.

I’ve DM them both loads over the years and never once had a reply. Either with advice or if they’ve asked folks opinions on something.

If I’m honest I feel really sad and upset that I’ve been tricked into believing this has been some sort of real life when in theory it’s nothing more than a fake reality show.

As everyone’s touched on I loved her in the beginning when she was giving help and support to people but something has changed and deep down I hope they learn from their mistakes and go back to how it was but I tbh j they’ve went over the abyss.

And I’m seriously gutted I was drawn into it all. Old enough to know better.

I feel exactly the same & wonder how
I was sucked into it all so easily. Like to think I’m not a naive person but guess I was in this instance. It was done in such a way that you would never think they were selling stuff so don’t feel bad or kick yourself. They were very clever and devious about it. I now question everything and have gone over videos in my mind and everything just clicked that it was just one big advertising site! Quite disgusting really when you think someone can lie that easily in such a happy manner and use their children to create the lie. I’m just glad more people are waking up and seeing how truly false it all is!
 
I recently found and joined this Forum for many of the reasons mentioned here. However, my disgruntle is not due in entireity to the Meldrums, but because almost all youtubers just seem so "fake" . Some start off relatable but once they start to gain subscribers they quickly become annoying and materialistic.. Their greed and demonstrable swagger is often sickening. I absolutely detest the run up to Christmas where so many family youtubers blatantly show their addiction to materialism, which is often cemented by the yearly Christmas Gift Opening /What I got for Christmas uploads etc ... It really isn't something that they should be proud of and yet they upload for the world to see!! I am always left feeling why not grab an opportunity to payback/forward for all their fortunes to those much less fortunate, like the homeless for eg. I always grieve for the lost opportunity to demonstrate to their children the true gift of giving and instil good moral values in their children. Additionally, there seems to have been very little said by youtubers about the full implications of Article 13. I am absolutely amazed that the Meldrums have taken on such a hefty mortgage (if they haven't been treated by Bank of Mum and Dad) given the severity of Article 13. https://www.youtube.com/saveyourinternet/

If I'm remembering correctly, they broke up when she was away in Florida but that he did come to visit her and when she was back, they got back together. She was in Florida in the spring of 2010 and didn't fall pregnant until February of 2011 (I walked back 40 weeks from S's birthday, I do not know Mrs M's cycle! ?) so I don't think that was the reason they got back together. I think they'd been back together for a while.
 
Finally joined after reading these threads as I reported Mrs m to ASA over the Neilson holidays. They replied it wasn't an ad because they had no obligation, but it was gifted. ASA asked me if I thought my complaint had been addressed well. I replied no not at all what a cop out.
A few months later the rules changed and now a gift is an #AD which has to be clearly labelled *at the beginning* of every post so that people can choose to click or not. This what the meldrums categorically refuse to comply with with.
I hope in time they will.
Both of them are on the way out unless they change by which time they will be unemployable. One has never worked ( her degree is so old and out of date as to be worthless ) and one will need retraining. They ignore this at their peril.
Over exposure of children: when they hit teenage years they can sue. As some have already. The one I remember is a 16 year old boy whose parents refused to remove photos of him from face book. His whole life had been put online. The parents were forced by the court to remove all said photos with a €10k fine for each and any photo of their son they tried to put up in the future. How awful to have to sue your parents to get any privacy.
 
Oh she is such a liar. I renember she said it wasnt even gifted. All she got was a visit to the spa. At that time I could not believe someone who questioned her about it. Then I started to see more and more of what she was doing. There was even so many people asking; «how can you afford this again»
She didnt bother to answer. She should have said it was gifted.

I think they used to pay for Neilson holidays before they had so many followers. But certainly since they started all the ‘taking over the Neilson feed’ when they’re away and such like in recent holidays, safe to assume none have been paid for. I think we just have to assume nothing they feature is paid for by them. And I don’t even say that in jest. It wouldn’t surprise me if they even had a #spon with British Eggs or whatever.... wait a minute... jogs a memory, I think they once did do some kind of egg recipes promo!
