I’m probably not going to comment much more about them. They love that they are getting so much coverage here and I can’t be arsed feeding their already over inflated egos anymore!

The kids will be their downfall- don’t envy those teenager years once they hit.... Lee back at work, no more free tit, 3 pampered off the rails teen girls going hell for leather to break out of the picket fence Truman show they have been sold into all these years.....

In order to pay off that mortgage they'll need to keep the gravy train going for many many more years. Not to mention this way of life that they've very quickly become accustomed to. I'm curious to see how long it takes for people to unsubscribe or whether they'll reach the sacconejoly platform they so desperately crave.

I’m new to post on here but have been reading the Meldrums threads for a while now!

As someone who is local I can vouch for most of her “target audience” when I say she’s disliked and although has a pretty high opinion of herself doesn’t have a good reputation at all.

Totally off topic but did anyone ever pick up on when she was pregnant with Poppy, in a vlog where they visited Aberdeen and then Nando’s, Mrs M was standing outside and although not 100% clear from the video as I do believe there will have been some element of reviewing what they publish.....she looked like she was smoking.... ? Just me maybe :unsure:

She's just super embarrassed that she bought a house under "those" conditions. She likes to pretend that she's upper middle class (thanks to her upbringing) and that Lee can afford her the life she was used to as a kid/that her mum leads. Having the reach that she does have, it would be incredibly helpful to those who were in positions she was in. There is nothing to be ashamed about in needing and receiving help.

Everything around the house sale/purchase is so shady. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't even buy the house themselves but her parents did. Might be worth the 15 quid to take a peek at the title when it's finally registered (I kid, I kid...) ?.

I just watched the life before YouTube vlog someone posted. I cannot believe Lee was 19 and she was 15 when they started going out and he used to get her from school and bring a spare jumper for her to put on as he was embarrassed.

As the aunt of an almost 18 year old and a mum of a 14 year old I find that age gap disgusting!

I hope people continue to hold them to account , and that they’re forced to comply strongly by the regulating bodies or made to face the consequences. Something needs to burst this bubble of in accountability and arrogance and I believe it will happen.

Then they’re faced with the consequences of being “exposed” as a sales channel which will undoubtably lose them followers and respect from those who haven’t tweaked yet that that’s what they’re about.

Their content of late has been pretty dire in my opinion; neither of the two seem very creative so I don’t know how they can develop themselves on that front. Maybe they will surprise us?

I’m very dubious that they bought the property themselves but I’m not clued up on mortgage lending so maybe someone who is could shed some light?
 
Well not Meldrum related specifically, but a sign o the times that things are a changing (and I found it interesting anyway) is news today that Instagram is going to start cracking down on fake likes and follows. Whether this is the start of the social media platforms starting to pre-empt regulation, who knows? Hopefully this is a first step in the right direction of increased responsibility from Instagram and other SM platforms.
