There were lots of 'pieces' ☹ available on Friday but, yes...a lot looked quite dated if you look at her hairstyle.

Maybe there is a clause in the contract that states that the clothes cannot be sold on for 'x' years? Would be a sensible shout by the companies that deal with influencers.
 
How can you see whats sold? Looks like there is loads (of tat for too much) to me?

Yes that stuff has clearly been boxed up and taken out at a later date to be sold.

Just read tonight’s blog post. Oh great I thought….until she says she’s using Bodens latest collection to illustrate her point (flog to us). She’s also shared a 15% voucher code when a quick google gives you a 20% off one.

Yes I saw the main picture and thought not more White Stuff crap! And sure enough it’s more hideous outfits she and no one else would ever choose to wear. If she was such a fashionista with such a great eye for detail and fashion, she would be able and willing to tell us why White Stuff quality has fallen so much over the years, why all their garments come up short on the body, why they shrink in the wash, why they insist on such a dingy colour palette and more.
 
It’s Marks and Spencer today. Her blog is incredibly boring and I think she just writes in an echo chamber To a shrinking adoring few. The fuss about Christmas gets on my nerves too. Everything seems to be planned to the nth degree. She appears to be a real control freak.

Everything she writes is the same each week, month and year.
The only brands she writes about are Boden, White Stuff, Marks and Spencer and bloody John Lewis. I suppose she gets paid for what she shows And so doesn’t show anything else. She is fishing for Me and Em now. I hope they don’t bite.
Whatever happened to Uniqlo? I suppose they dropped her.

I think Uniqlo must have dropped her as did Hush I assume. She was rubbish at showcasing Uniqlo so I’m not at all surprised.
She’s begging for a Me & Em collaboration having slagged off the whole brand because ONE sales assistant was rude or unhelpful ONCE in ONE of their stores. I hope they don’t work with her. She’s so unbelievably arrogant.
 
I’ve been lurking and enjoying a long discussion on midlifechic on mumsnet if anyone is interested. It’s on the style and beauty board and the thread is called the four styles of the festive period.
 
Well if she did start it herself it hasn’t quite gone as intended. While posters are praising the quality of her writing they are criticising her outfit choices and style. I winced for her when one poster vastly overestimated how old she is.
 
I’ve not read the thread yet …I don’t find relatable or likeable she comes across as quite vain …

I don't know why she is so desperate to let us know she has an active sex life! How utterly mortifying for their boys. No wonder their relationships don't last long - imagine Nikki as a Mother in law!

Yes I remember her saying before that whenever she sees a spike in readers that she knows there is a thread on mumsnet or similar doing the rounds. Maybe she needed the readership for the brand deals!

Anyone seen the Instagram posts with all the metallic boots? I wonder if she does float around in what is photographed.
However, I am more interested in views on the Christmas posts, the amount of effort that goes into a Midlife Christmas just exhausts me. I would love to know what other villagers think of it all - they always are presented as lesser mortals from what I read
 
The Metallic boots are foul. Awful. I was in London recently and no-one was wearing metallic boots. But they seem to be her 'thing'. Or is she being paid ££ to shift them for Boden or whoever?

Yes, Midlife Christmas seems exhausting! What if one son decides to get up late and wear his PJ's all day? Or if today's storm stops them singing carols? She seems very controlling to me.

My offspring are all at their various in-laws this Christmas. So no, I haven't put up the big tree or decorated every room in the house! She would be disgusted with me!!
 
I like the look of a Midlife Christmas - with every room in the house decorated - but I just couldn’t be arsed! The energy she puts (or implies she puts) into everything is really something, packing for holidays starts 2 weeks before, Christmas starts months in advance etc.
 
Every post starts off sounding genuine and then you realise that its just a plug for a store. So I started reading yesterdays post with interest but really she is just selling John Lewis' xmas decorations which they need to shift by the 25th December so it includes loads of links to their stuff.

Most men and boys would think she looks embarrassingly ridiculous - denim culottes and silver pointed boots. Who the hell wears a tulle skirt to travel on the train. Not many. But I guess she has to and out and make a blog somehow.

I think Nikki just exists in an echo chamber. She has Mal and her sons cheering her on maybe but no women in her family she seems close to, distanced from her siblings from what I can tell, clearly HATES the mother in law....Is a world away from Mals sisters. She didn't fit in or get on with the women on that recent trip to Thailand. The women that come to her meet ups seem to get on with eachother but she seems to exist on the edge of it all.
 
I read her blog yesterday and there are very few comments but all agree with her, very much the echo chamber. She sounds very anal and controlling. I would love to know what her sons really think, and the girlfriends. Sick to death of the John Lewis plugs, how much is she paid
