That report is interesting. It just reads like a whitewash to me. I wonder if Barrymore hadn’t been famous would they have disregarded all that evidence as flimsy and not admissible? Saying there wasn’t enough evidence to charge him seems crazy to me when it’s clear that he was involved in some serious way with Lubbock’s death. Just very said for his family that no justice has been brought and that Barrymore has managed to avoid prosecution in this way, possibly because he has the funds to repeatedly fight any claims against him in the courts, funds that others do not have
 
I detest Barrymore. I remember him being all over the TV when I was a kid and thinking he seemed attention seeking and full of spite then. Then add in the fact a man was murdered in horrific circumstances at his house and the only thing he seems worried about is not letting it derail he’s career and I can only conclude he is a particularly vile bleep. If someone had died like that in my home with my friends I would never forgive myself, he seems to consider it a nuisance! And himself as the real victim! The words of the police in the documentary spoke volumes...,

He creeped me out when I was a kid too. We loved a game show in our house in the 80s but I hated the way he would drape all over older ladies (pensioners) and licking their faces etc. He was so popular at the time though and the shows he fronted were great - I loved My Kind of Music - but he was front and centre of it all the time.

I can’t imagine how awful I would feel if even someone died even accidentally at my home. But he has made this all about him and is still behaving appallingly and quite bizarrely.

Oh I'm so pleased about this. It would seem to me that it couldn't just be one person responsible given it was a party and the fact that they have all closed ranks. I hope this person tells the police everything and Stuart's family get some justice.

i hope that too...Has someone at that party has finally got a conscience and revealed what happened that night?
Lets hope Stuart finally gets the justice he deserves and his family some closure especially as his father is terminally ill

Michael Barrymore has had his name tarnished for years, his career ruined and his bank balance affected. All because of a party that took place at his home. Heck nobody who has an house party knows everything that goes on there because you're enjoying yourself and not policing your guests. If the arrest leads somewhere he will have a great case to go after lost earnings.

Wasn’t there only 8 people there? Not exactly a huge ‘party’. Also, most people don’t run away from the scene of a murder of a young guest, in your own home. 🤮

So if someone died through no fault of your own at your home it would be fair if you didn't get work because of it and when it came out in years to come who was to blame you wouldn't feel bad about how you had been treated for all those years? Of course he's got a case to get compensation if this person turns out to be the one.

He rightly got no work because of the way he behaved. Minimal co-operation with the police and justice system. Who is going to want to be associated with that? He is a complete disgrace.
 
I'm wondering if the guy arrested was Barrymore's boyfriend of the time think his name was john pretty sure he would be 50 now

I'm very happy they have finally arrested someone after all these years. Stuart's poor family waiting 20 years.

No way is only 1 person involved in this despicable crime... and no way does only 1 person know what happened.. I really hope ALL those involved will be arrested in the coming days or weeks, Barrymore I think will be one of them.. his behaviour was and always has been suspect and disgusting!!! Running away from the scene of a murder ... who does that !! His face has always had guilt written all over it as far as I'm concerned... vile man
