Dave thinks rocks are artifacts. Artifacts are cultural items made by man, not naturally occurring things like rocks. Shave a rock into an arrowhead or knife and you have an artifact, but a hunk of sedimentary rock is just a rock (no need to touch it though if it's on ancient people's land!). He's always cold, I think he has a heroin addiction. He's also having trouble breathing. Dave thinks it's the altitude, I think he has long covid. In any event, maybe he could dress more warmly rather than whining constantly about being cold. My wife was offended by Dave's absolute ignorance regarding ancient civilizations and he didn't say a single thing about culture (no brochure remember), I was just offended generally. It would be interesting, maybe, to probe Dave about why he thinks he's interesting. The audio was horrible. Some of the scenery was nice (it was a rarity), but he often had his head in the frame while telling us to look at the beauty. You won't go wrong if you just say "no".

He's always been cold. Even before the pandemic. So it's not long COVID.

And Dave barely could stick a nasal swab up his nose to test for COVID so I doubt he's shooting heroin. LOL

The simplest answer is probably low thyroid or anemia. Both can cause you to constantly feel cold and also cause shortness of breath.

I agree. My thought is that it's that cousin from the kickstarter video on the mom's side. I swear that kid (now presumably a man LOL) was discussed on Guru.

Weren't you a part of writing up some stuff for that? Or something else related to that? Maybe a website for him? I swear I remember seeing your write-up contribution.

yup I wrote some articles for his early blog… mouse hub.

You don't just have to shoot it. You can smoke it, snort it, take it rectally. Just for the record I only to snorted it or attempted to smoke. I'm afraid of needles. Both the ones that go in my veins and the other one that takes the tunnel. And smack is not the entry level drug.

Right, I know. I had several friends in college in the 90s who did heroin and coke (I never have; not my thing).
I just offered shooting up as a general example. ;)

Either way, Dave Kay aka Gem is not doing drugs.

Yes. Mouse Hub! Thanks. I remember now!

Trained as the latter, apparently decided to become the former, although I can't tell if he actually did a psychiatry residency or not.

There are some choice quotes in the decision revoking his medical license.

"For example, Dr Karlsberg gave money and guns to clients."

Wow, I read that whole thing and…wow. I can’t believe this is what their dad is like. So much makes sense now, yet it also brings up more questions lol. Thanks for sharing that.

Oh, sweet Jesus….

Oh, sweet Jesus….

How do we sign up Tonya Harding for the next cruise? :censored:

Call me crazy but sometimes it could be just another passenger. ;)

And where did all this talk about him fathering a child, court-ordered relationships, child support, etc. come from?

Sorry, that was me! Got an early start at the bar yesterday and thought it would be fun to throw in a new theory. Michael is partially to blame though, because there's definitely parts of him that he wants to come off as mysterious but he also completely lacks the awareness needed to present that effectively. :ROFLMAO:

813 upvotes for michael posing on ice skates? There are some sad, sad people on this planet. I'm going out on the limb to guess that his Grease pose picture will be his video thumbnail Friday. Is emulating John Travolta an improvement from constantly emulating a twelve year old Macaulay Kulkin? Maybe? Definitely suffering from acute self-absorption, but doesn't posing render michael a poser by definition? Michael's use of plural pronouns under the picture is weird and invites theories about michael based upon known facts. It looks like medium shirt is going to have a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.

I thought it was great. One of the oddities about Michael's and Dave's reality programming, and "reality tv" generally, is the fact it is not reality-based. It's OK for the viewer to create a "reality" to make otherwise uninteresting programming have some entertainment value. One could enjoy trying to sleuth the real reality, but going that route requires an unacceptable level of devotion to unexceptional videos for me.

So I view Dave as an untalented grifter in the making who contracted long covid which has affected his breathing and that has compounded other health problems, facial contortions, and affected speech patterns which emanate from his speedball addiction/bouts of cold turkey.

I was unable to create a whole character for michael because his overwhelming narcissism always clouded my view of him, but you gave a great template: Michael is an untalented, but more practiced, grifter who abandoned a young family, and discarded other family members, on his way to pursue his lifelong dream of walking away from cameras left on the ground a WDW, and filming himself in softcore bath and pool scenes, all to suck money directly from dopes who can't see that they are being grifted. In a completely unexpected plot twist, however, the grifter's narcissistic Florida Resident videos have recently been entered into evidence against him in a child support proceeding and his dream existence has become a court ordered nightmare. Now the grifter is trapped under the weight of court orders which has caused him to forfeit a huge part of his magical WDW dream and requires him to lunch on a nacho snack rather than the "best burger on property." Now that's programming worth watching!

Thanks for letting us know that in your opinion Dave's obvious problems are likely not related to heroin addiction. However, he has chills, he wears jeans to the beach in the middle of the summer, he's always complaining about being cold, classic signs of drug withdrawal.
You say that "vlogging is the last thing on your mind," it's a safe bet that it's not the first thing on Dave's mind. Have you ever watched one of his offerings? Did you see his Havoc video? There's no way someone not on drugs made that.

Dave is just too pathetic to have a drug problem. That would actually be interesting.

As someone who had to do addiction psychiatry and handle drug and alcohol detoxes as part of my residency (and apparently better than Papa Kay, based on that document), there's nothing about how he acts that I recognize as opioid withdrawal.

Video #3... MK did NOT have a good time on this "adventure." I actually, sort of, feel sorry for him. He is clearly afraid of people/grown ups and didn't feel comfortable participating in any activity requiring interaction with those groups. Opportunities just floated on by (e.g. swim-up tiki bar on Coco Cay; pool time on-board; Super Bowl activities; etc.).

His misery couldn't even be shifted by food. Could barely give a good word to any of his meals.

Maybe he does need to stick to Disney World. I'm convinced this trip wasn't his plan/idea, but his family's, and he needed to try to spin it to appear to be branching out. Epic fail. 😶
