my first date was at 20 Literallyyyyy those swings go up to about 9kg surely Mabel is heavier than that? She looks like she barely fits in the seat.Why on Earth is her 9 month old in a swing?!?!

Genuine people of the craft do not act like this, her intent is all wrong, her mindset is wrong, she's the type of person that gives the craft a bad name and gives out loads of misunderstanding. Mia has bragged about the books she has bought, her BOS she has created and if she has gathered good research, then she wouldn't need to make a 'desperate' unsightly video like this. Sure there's nothing wrong with seeking help and guidance but there's a right way to do things and there's a wrong way.... Oh, I forgot, there's also Mia's way and that way is a law unto herself. Shocking..Why’s she on insta begging for protection spells
I don’t practice Wicca but I am a believer in spirituality and crystals and I have always thought that in order to get the most from things you can’t just “take” from the craft, you have to give back to it.
Mia seems to be using the craft for her benefit only. Almost like never praying in your life, yet praying when you want something.
I might be wrong as like I said I don’t practise it, but it seems she only uses it to try and get what she wants.
Also why was she so happy to be asking for protection? Surely if you need protection you are expecting something to happen where you may feel unsafe or scared?

You can tell that everything she does is for the look of something and to try and be quirky. Witchcraft is a culture and can take years to master your own interpretation of if. Mia isn’t taking it seriously at all and it’s a little insulting. I don’t do the craft myself but I know people that have for years. They say it’s a very intimate experience and it’s embarrassing to see people like Mia using it selfishly and to be quirky. You don’t reach out for spells over your Instagram story, she’s tarnishing the real craft with her immature attempts to be different. She isn’t serious about it atall, it’ll be a hobby that will sweep through the trend followers and she’ll go on to something else soon.
the way a friend put it to me is that if this girl is reaching out for spells like that,when she’s been doing it for such a short amount of time, shows that she’s cherry picking what she wants from the craft for selfish reasons. It’s like saying you’re going to study gcse English for the first time and then asking for answers to the exam. You need to study, immerse yourself in to every section, identify meanings, reasons, and give more than you take before you can gain from it properly like that. Mia you’re a joke.

My sister is a year old and just weighs over 9kg, average weight of a 8 month old baby is 7.5kg. Even if Mia is using the swing to make her life easier, you don’t know what she’s doing, how Mabel is feeling. Sometimes you have to literally do anything to make a baby happy when they’re teething/grizzly. Mabel was strapped in and she was content. I feel like you all find things to pick on Mia about. Pick on the misinformed videos, pick on how she contradicts herself. But you literally are only seeing a small snippet in that video

There are better alternatives if mia needed to put her down

Yeah maybe that’s true, however those swings are designed for relatively newborn babies. It’s not difficult to see Mabel is too big for it, and I don’t know how you think she looks content because she really doesn’t

I completely agree with this as a mother, there’s nothing wrong with the way Mia parents Mabel I feel... Mabel is clearly a happy healthy child. I can’t imagine the doubt I’d feel if I was criticised for every little thing I’ve done during my 6 years of being a mum.
the only thing that triggered me was the nappy thing because I’ve been there, done it wrong and learned. It isn’t that Mia is doing it wrong that aggravates me it’s the fact she’d cancel me out if I ever reached out on her social media with a little advice. Mias problems are not with how she parents, like you say above, it’s the miss informed videos, the greediness, the selfishness. The “I’m better than anyone attitude”
my daughter was in a swing in nursery until a year old because it was the only thing there that made her nap. If Mabel wasn’t happy about sitting in there, you’d definitely know!
No ones criticising her parenting? But it’s unsafe, Mabel being happy isn’t the point

My point was just that there’s more reasons to call Mia out than her choices as a parent (putting Mabel in a swing) people were going as far as to say she’s plonked her in an unsafe contraption because she’s busy. I have no issue with people using swings, I have an issue when it’s not safe anymore, I’m not critiquing her parenting, I’m critiquing her choice of safe alternatives

Personally didn’t think she looked too big for it. The average weight for those things are 9kg-10kg. Average 1 year old weight is when it’s unsafe according to the Joie website, it’s the exact swing nursery used for my daughter at 11-12 months old. I just feel there’s bigger problems with Mia than this. That’s all I’m saying.
Her lack of safety is a big problem, she won’t even buy a stair gate
So many young children and babies are injured from accidents, as a parent it’s your responsibility to protect them
Mabel could easily tip that swing over, especially now she can crawl

She does look way too big, yes according to the instructions or what not she might not be too big, but she certainly looks it which means it can’t be safe!

Aw well I’m not judging it. I understand it’s different for some people. All I know is my daughter at 11 months old (a long baby for her age also) would not settle unless in that swing at her nursery and the nursery were completely fine with it, she was never left unattended in it and we can’t say mabel was left unattended in it because it was a 5 second clip so.
I personally think she looked too big in it. I had a Joie swing and although my baby has always been very tall, she was out of it by 6 months and would’ve fought her way out if I’d tried to strap her into a cradle chair! I know some can transition into a chair but surely swings aren’t good idea when baby is mobile? I think this will always have differing opinions.
