Anybody have a screenshot of the OITNB reference by any chance?

There are lots of really great black YouTubers and influencers that put out amazing content and 95% of the people she follows on Twitter are white. It's funny how you claim to want to be a part of change yet you don't interact with the black community on YouTube.

And most of these white woke influencers are complicit too. Change starts at home, Melanie.

Just realised Thomas actually wrote a review 😬 On the goodreads website it shows his full name on the review, in the app it only shows “Thomas” for some reason.
That’s one of the shortest reviews left for her novel and obviously he only did it to get the rating up. Surely could have elaborated a bit?

Exactly. Not only this but the fact that she stated how it represented all the black people that died at the hands of cops. No, I think the black people who died who you didn't mention were maybe the ones who should have been represented in this tweet not a fictional tv character.

Exactly!! She's really out there on insta using a race war and global pandemic dressed up as a community space of virtual hugs to up her engagement to sell fish tablets and itchy, cheap nylon leggings. I can't. 🙈

It always has to come back to her, I just don't understand how you could be so self involved all the time.

No harm to her I'm from the North And we have health care and affordable housing 😂 maybe miss Melanie could get her house then 😂

Also these are protests but they turn into riots mostly due to the cops but sure anything for her to have a hot take
 
I have never seen Melanie with any ‘non-white’ friend. I doubt she has any or she keeps in touch with global news even (since news is beneath her anyway) She has never even spoken about racism in Ireland before or addressed ANY global news. Never used her platform to wish other cultures in Ireland on their festivals etc. I’m a POC and I think her sudden ‘solidarity’ with black people is nothing but an attempt to stay relevant. Her messages are tone deaf especially when she is literally just shouting about 1916 rebellion in her every post like a kid who JUST learned about something in their class.
 
On her personal facebook she posted a link to a collection of studies with this caption:

What exactly is this new anti-media sentiment? Is she listening to too much Joe Rogan? Can she not see that being anti-news media is a signifier of the alt right?
