]Are we not going to discuss the glaringly obvious here?
1) Black life's matter all year around, so many black people are killed each year but instead of Melanie using her platform on Instagram stories to amplify black voices she's amplifying HER WHITE VOICE. Surely she could promote some black activists to her thousands of followers or reposts of mutuals on SM who are black? We dont need another white voice to add to the conversation we need to AMPlLIFY and support those affected- The black community. Yet all I hear is Melanie, not a black person to be seen on her timeline.
2) This same girl took on a paid sponsorship to promote pale skin- Screenshot included in which she alluded to the struggle of being white and looking up to white actresses to normalize her "whiteness"
3) Melanie claims to be an activist for the LGBTQ community yet yesterday Her Idol J.K Rowling was rumbled online for copy and pasting a transphobic tweet. Did we see melanie on stories creating a dialogue with this trending topic or defending her community, nope. Because it's her idol, Melanie will continue to engage and retweet and stick up for such a disgusting individual. Because it's activism when it suits Melanies purpose and how dare anybody ask Mel to cancel her transphobic idol!!
Melanie is nothing but a hypocrite. She's far removed from an activist and involves herself in these topics not out of genuine care or sense of compassion but in the hopes of getting more likes and followers to her channel. That's it -faux wokeness is a thing, people.
She wouldn't have the ability to hold a conversation on these topics IRL because every "opinion" or information she shares, she has taken from someone else far more intelligent than she will ever be. It's very, very easy to rehearse and recite some quotes for a sit down video to look woke.
