I like kristi delighted she had a baby after infertility...however I couldn’t bring myself to watch her video because she admits in the first 2 minutes she only read positive birth stories and didn’t prepare herself for what might go wrong, she had in mind an idea of how she wanted her birth to go blah blah blah
I’m sorry I know some people won’t agree but I can’t stand the whole “I wanted my birth to go this way and it didn’t and it was traumatic”
It’s a medical procedure lads the plan should be get the baby out safely and you deliver safely whatever that means at the time of the birth

Agree with this, although I do feel for Kristi, given the details of the birth. But it was something I was thinking while watching Mel's birth video. Maybe it's because where I'm from "birth plans" aren't really a thing. You're expected to give birth naturally, in a hospital, unless there's an emergency or you specifically ask for a c-section. Otherwise, you trust the medical professionals around you to make the right decision for your and your baby's life. It's a risky situation with many variables, so no "plan" is going to be absolute.

The way she went on about how her doctor went against her birth plan made me skeptical. We're only seeing her side of the story, to begin with, and, also, no matter how much you read up on birth you're not more of an expert than a doctor who's been in the field for ages, especially if it's your first birth. She might not feel he made the right call, but he helped her deliver a healthy baby and she is recovering just fine.

It seems like what was traumatic for her was having her "picture-perfect birth" storyline disrupted, where she's a super-mammy/warrior-woman who just pops out babies with no assistance.

Her recent anti-medicine/anti-lockdown rants made me think about the way she spoke about the medical staff at her birth in a different way, I suppose.

What is she on about buying a house and not realising that the foundations are tit because you couldn't view it. She just contradicted herself. That's what the surveyor is for. Two plebs like herself and Thomas arent going to notice structural problems by viewing it. 😂

She says she had her time travelling. Uhm what? She hasn't travelled at all really. From what I remember she'd post about getting panic attacks in the airport. She been barely anywhere. I think she counts flying to LA to share a gaff with a load of gobshites as ”travelling"😂.

I feel like she's trying to just counteract the people saying she lied about her income by publicly saying they have 200k in cash. Wich I don't really buy anyway. I'd say his parents are going to give them a lump sum or a loan. If they had 200k saved up along with her six figure salary and his debt I'm sure they'd still get a mortgage😂 How much debt does he have?

As for still renting with the Dad... so odd. Nothing she says makes sense. She says they do that because it makes no sense for Thomas to contribute to the rent of the other place. What???? Why would Thomas have to contribute to the rent there if her and the dad are already covering it??? She has a massive chip on her shoulder about him not earning. Why ask him to pay the rent when her and the dad already pay it now as it it? What difference does it make? She's so bleeping odd.

She seems to be making life and financial decisions cos she's thick as tit and has a lot of preconceived ideas about how her life should be. Her and Thomas don't seem to be life partners at all....

I'm not surprised at all that Mel tried to make it about her. She thinks she's the authority on birth now that's she's done it once.

This is the main reason I dont have a step by step birth plan. I’ve no expectations as I know there’s no 100% guarantee it will pan out that way, in my opinion your best going in with an open mind cause you really don’t know what is gonna happen or how it’s gonna go. My plan is get the baby here safe and well, the only thing I really wrote in my birth plan was my pain relief preferences but honestly aside from that as long as baby gets here safe and is healthy that’s all that matters. You can’t have a set plan when you are giving birth or compare your birth/labour to anyone else’s as everybody’s is different. I think it’s silly getting annoyed that it ‘didn’t go the way you wanted’ you’ve literally no control over it anything can happen. Anyone that goes into labour/birth thinking it’s gonna go exactly the way they want is setting themselves up for disappointment.

I want to keep the person who told me this anonymous, but I have proof if anyone is interested, the person in question you could say works with Bethan Leadley and through extension of that, knows Hannah Witton well because she is married to her brother.

Apparently Melanie caused a huge rift between Hannah and her friends after Melanie was found out to be creating social media profiles to spread rumours about one of this "circle" after she was jealous of her relationship with another YouTuber in the same circle (she didn't mention who, I don't know anything about it and didn't want to ask.) I know this was ages ago and I shouldn't be so nosy but does anyone know anything about this, or has it been discussed? Apparently she was also trying to send this YouTube guy she liked nudes while she was in a relationship as well, and really went out of her way to destroy this couple's relationship, I have tried to look through Hannah's old videos to see who she was friends with but I couldn't figure much out.

I couldn’t agree more with this if I tried!! 🙌🏻 I unfollowed her quite a few months back (after following her for many years) as I finally began to realise how entitled and ridiculous she is. Bragging on her story about how they could afford to buy a 200k house in cash and then being like “ooh I bet some millionaire will come along and take it” - does she not see what she’s saying?! Most of us could only dream of having access to a solid amount of money that huge and also, for someone who likes to make herself out as someone who really cares about unemployment and how the pandemic has affected that, it’s a giant contradiction and smack in the face to everyone who may have felt like she understood them. “Oh my husband’s industry is going under but don’t worry we’re sat on 200k”?! Jog on Mel 😂😂😂

I vaguely remember talk of Melanie fancying Jack Howard and falling out with Hazel Hayes when she got with him. Could it be them? :unsure:

Can I ask what the proof is? I don't mean that to sound as bluntly as it came across there!!

I presume it was Jack and Hazel? It was all over GG at the time and Melanie made a big Facebook rant about a friend of hers basically stealing a guy she liked and how it was awkward because she would have to see them at YouTube events.

She also unfollowed both of them for a time. There was also a sock puppet making weird comments under hazel's posts.

There were a lot of indirects and pointed subtweets.There was also lots of accusations of infidelity flying around GG at the time of the convention where she met Jack.
 
The I'd sooner live in a bin shite is such privileged nonsense. For some people(and I include myself in this) the reality is that you are priced out of certain areas often the areas that you have grown up in as prices have increased over the years. I have children, I have to provide a home for them, I can't stomp my feet and say either my dream house in my dream area or nothing so here I am living in small commuter town like half of my towns population. Is it my dream home? Is it duck! But it is our home and it's certainly better than a bin.

Saying she would rather make her child homeless than live anywhere else? It's not big and it not clever. Real life doesn't work like one of her manifested fairytales, some people actually find themselves homeless, lots and lots of people have to move to somewhere more affordable. Life often involves making the best of the choices available to you, we can't all sit in our mother in laws attics for years until we can afford our dream homes.

Yeah I definitely think it was them. She was hooking up with Jack Howard very soon after her breakup with Shane. I think she broke up with Shane and a matter of weeks later she was making it very obvious she was seeing Jack. Then all of a sudden Jack was with Hazel and Melanie unfollowed both of them. I got the feeling that it was a very casual thing for Jack but Mel was hoping they'd be a YouTube power couple 😂

In fairness Jack Howard is a babe but I think him and Hazel make way more sense considering they’re both directors and have a similar eye, have the same tight knit group of friends, have similar humour and both live in London. I do hope they get back together as they seem to have grown a lot individually over the past year or so. But I’m a hopeless romantic so that doesn’t help 😂😂

I can imagine it being a casual thing for Jack but not for her. I know she gives it large about casual flings but she seems to me like the type who would get attached to someone very quickly. There’s nothing wrong with that just own it.

(Side note: I think hazel is a good representation of a modern Irish woman in her 30’s. Her book was brilliant as well. I’m not for pitting women against each other at all, they have very different lives and that’s ok. I’d just rather Hazels.)
