What an ignorant wee cow with those comments! How the fk would she know what other kids are getting and what their parents can afford! Oh Megan's kids dont play with the poor kids eh! Do Christmas however you want right. Personally in our house we always told the kids mum and dad got them their big gifts the more expensive ones and santa brought the other stuff. The thought of my kid going into school and saying santa got them an expensive thing from their list and another wee child wondering why santa never got them what they asked for breaks my heart. That's just how we do Xmas it might not be for everyone and that's OK but that wee boots comments have rubbed me up the wrong way. Away and get a wash ya manky wee midden

She’s a silly little girl playing house.
tbh Santa buys everything in our house, it’s the way we were brought up and it’s the way we have continued. We also never really have a budget but I would not be shouting and bragging about that. She thinks by saying all this she looks rich when actually she just looks like a woman who doesn’t wash

As I said everyone has their own way of doing things and that's OK 🥰 my kids do get really spoiled at Xmas tbh and I'd like to think I brought them up better than to brag about what they have to their peers but when ye have a maw like Megan who brags about everything I can imagine her kids going the same way

Sorry agree to disagree i also do what megan does santa brings the presents in my house it's the way it was done as I was child aswel I never questioned a child in what they got big or small and my kids are also the same every family do things differently and that's ok

Santa brings everything to my house but my kids kniw when someone asks what Santas bringing/did he bring to only say one maybe two gifts not a full list of wants/what they received. I certainly wouldn’t show the internet what they were getting/piles of ‘Santas been’ gifts. I don’t even show my best friend cos maybe her year hasn’t been the best n she hasn’t manage as much as she’s would like for her kids. Nobody apart from the people in your house on Christmas morning need to see what Santa has brought

The point of my post wasn't about what people tell their kids about santa and who brings what presents as I said everyone does things differently! My post was about Megan's assumption that the kids in her kids class will also be spoiled and her wording of "her kids won't be mixing with any kids who don't get anything for xmas"
 
I'd not be too sure if I was her tbh.

In Glasgow and surrounding areas Santa brings the lot. I've never met anyone up here who does any different. And it's usually excessive. Which is just the way we were raised and what we continue to do.

However from what I've gathered on another forum I'm on, the South of England may not be the same.
