For England generally. Key players getting Injuries and fitness issues and not recovering in time, other players losing form, promising players dropping off the radar, team just not gelling, team falling apart from the pressure and hype.

The press will love the fact that Chelsea currently have no English players on the Pitch. That will be the FA’s next demand someday - that no match can have less than 2-3 English players on the pitch for each side at any one time.

The season has barely started, and Southgate will also have to take the start of next season into account.

I don't think that not playing a half or not starting every single game is going to affect much his chances; and Southgate seems to rate him a lot and that's what matters. Sterling didn't have a great season last year, but Southgate trusted him and to be honest, without his goals England wouldn't have even gone through the group stages.

This is why deep down i’m selfishly happy TAA didn’t end up playing in the euros, he has started off unreal because he had the time to prepare unlike the others.

I think Pickford is injured rather than just out form.

Rice seems a rareish the exception and is in mostly great form. Any others not Suffering the Euro jet lag ?

Yep he started amazing as he had a full preseason and had a long break. We saw last season when he had no preseason and lacked fitness. His form dropped until Christmas.
 
The start of next season will be wild with so many players desperate to get a call up for their countries would cup squad’s while managers mostly don’t want their players going.
